Portsmouth is a good holiday destination. I used to go to Southsea every summer holidays for 6 weeks as I had an aunt and uncle to who lived there. There's lots to see and do in Portsmouth and the surrounding areas. Are you planning a day trip to the Isle of Wight? That makes a good day out.

ooo - fun - I love Portsmouth! The historic Dockyards are fantastic. You are in my part of the world, but my hols are not until the last week of August so an impromptu meet up is out of the question! Maybe a good thing as everytime we have gone there, the heavens have exploded & we've been drenched.
