Knowing I have options keeps me going. I'm not yet ready to put my house on the market but I know I will and a browse around RM does help.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Yeah, sounds good to keep your options open. Hopefully once the new neighbours have finished whatever work they think needs doing it will all calm down, and your new fencing will help in the mean time.Live the good life where you have been planted.

Thank you all
No idea whether they're even going to move in once they're done at this point - they already have a house locally. We'll see.
Anyway, we were up and out uncharacteristically early today - in town by 8.15!! Had breakfast in a nice quiet cafethen Mr C went off to band practice, and I collected my prescription, went along to a local craft group I've been meaning to pop into for yonks, and actually went to the gym for half an hour too
Picked up some diesel (And some lolly ices) on the way home, and have now had lunch and posed with my parcel for the delivery man
but haven't done anything else from my list yet.
So, I've got about 3 hours before Mr C is back, and I want to
* put a load of washing on
* put clothes away upstairs
* hoover upstairs
* quick tidy downstairs
* hoover downstairs
* hang washing out
* water transplanted tree
* other garden pottering
This is utterly ridiculous, but I miss the flylady podcast! She recorded it about 15 years ago, and while I never listened to anything else she recorded, I always listened to this hour-long recording of weekly home blessing hourI could practically recite it word for word, I'd listened to it that often, and I rarely did a whole house clean without it. But it's vanished! It's been removed from where I got it from, it's not on her website any more, and I can't find it anywhere else. I'm bereft, and struggling to clean!
Any other suggestions for a podcast recoding that talks you through a series of household tasks?!
(and yes, I know, I'm 45 and should be able to clean on my own, but...)

@Cheery_Daff - have you tried the Flylady utoob channel? - also DianeinDenmark has a utoob channel with categories which include her old clean with me ones, that I enjoyed mostly during lockdown! The only time in my life my house was pristine! Not commuting has it's advantages!!!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! I did briefly try her video channel - there was a bit too much non-cleaning stuff in her more recent stuff for me. I like Diane in Denmark and have used some of her stuff sometimes. Cleaning with videos annoys me though - I don't pay for YT so can't listen with the screen off, so can't just shove the phone in a pocket while I wander round 😂
I'm experimenting with 'Clean with Me'- reserving judgement as yet but they do have several hour long 'whole house clean' shows. I just picked one, and downstairs was looking pretty good by the end - I'd even washed out and cleaned the recycling and kitchen bins in the shower 😂 It didn't include floors though, and my sidetracked bin-cleaning meant I hadn't done upstairs. So I've listened to another couple while I've done those things too.
Just need to hoover downstairs now, and mop the kitchen, and the whole lot will have been done (well, surface done anyway 😂😂) inside 2 hours 😁 Everything is looking and smelling much better!
Washing is on the line too. And second lot ready to go in, but it looks like it might rain, and Mr C has robbed half the pegs for some kind of project, so that might have to wait til tomorrow.
Not done outside yet, but Mr C can help with watering, he'll be back soon.
Right, hoovering downstairs, and then I might indulge in one of the mini m@gnums I bought earlier 😁 I am very hot and sweaty, after all!7 -
I'm actually wondering if that might help me. I do have a cleaner but she isn't great and I often find myself dusting or some such. I will think on.

Have wheeled two big trugs of water up to the veg patch, given the tree a good watering, and my greenhouse seedlings and plug plants - I've lost more beans and most of the kale now to slugs 😬 hoping for a good rain soak soon so everything gets a bit stronger.7 -
@Cheery_Daff - I must admit I always listened to the videos twice, once while half-heartedly watching (while doing YNAB) and once just listening & following along. I do however have Bluetooth earphones so never carried my phone around! These days I'm mostly about clean as you go & leave the deep cleans to my retired OH - after all his 'job' is now to be the househusband!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! The Organised Mum Method? (ToMM) - she has daily tasks but also 'guided cleans' which can be a quick clean everywhere or a deep clean of a specific room. I think she's when gor them for putting away the Xmas tree and decs.....😜I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £205

Ha, @greent I'll have you know my Christmas tree is away - it's been in the loft since April! 🙈😂😂 But in the absence of a househusband like @rtandon27 I shall investigate, thank you!
Had a nice solstice eve with some friends last night, a lovely evening sat out watching the sun go down and the hills light up 😊 there was quite a breeze so we didn't get munched by the beasties, which is always good 😊
Meeting a friend for a local open gardens event today - will try not to be jealous and take inspiration instead 😂7
