Thanks @Elisheba it's always good to hear reports from a few years down the line! We've had a few more questions answered but I'm looking forward to going on a tour - it's hard to visualise what it will look like.4

Sorry I can't remember if you have to be in a certain number of days but I would have thought that the difficulties they have built in would lead to more & more only being in if they absolutely had to.4

Anyway, blah blah blah.
Lightening visit from mother achieved and new forms signed. Finally attempted to change the car headlight, only to realise rhey've sent (or I've ordered) the wrong bulb 🙄 Wish I'd just got someone else to do it! I usually do these days, but for various reasons I've not had chance while I've been in town lately, so figured ordering bulbs online was the way to go. Apparently not! Might just go in town on Wednesday. Yawn.
Got the evening to myself now. Need to finish work (and finish a set task today), counselling (online) at 5pm (and my work task may annoyingly continue after this, although I'm going to try to make sure it doesn't!)
Then this evening...
* finish washing up
* banking
* plant out rest of baby plants (yesterday's are still alive, fortunately!)
* tv and crochet 😊5 -
Blast - you've reminded me that I have a bulb needing changed too, I need to investigate that at the weekend although I just bet I have to take it to the garage to get it done as they are usually impossible to access!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Delighted to report Mr C took the car to get the bulb fixed while I was at work this morning 😊9

Afternoon chums 😊
We are visiting Mr C Snr today - a younger relative is here from the other side of the world, so we're all going out for dinner. I am taking some herbal calming tablets 😂
Not much financial to report. Met some friends near work the other day - they were there for a show. We met in a cheap pub, and planned to go elsewhere for dinner but ended up staying there, probably halving the cost.
Lunch today shouldn't be expensive either.
I have ordered a new sports bra though 😬 I can't tell you how many lunches that would have paid for 😬
We are contemplating a summer holiday. We've not been away for a fortnight for 11 years 😮 oops, duty calls, will tell you about plans later...9 -
Nice day yesterday, but when we got home at 8.30 I was completely wiped out. Ended up having a quick bite to eat then I was in bed by 9.30!
More energetic today. Parkrun this morning, 2nd fastest time since 2020 i think (the fastest was last month, on holiday at a flat place 😂). Then I mowed the grass, then strimmed, then had a shower, then hoovered and felt like I needed another shower 😂
Now Mr C's friends are here - we were planning to eat outside but new neighbours have cut a massive conifer down (uprooted with a JCB as far as I can tell) and set fire to it 😬 Obviously, having only been cut down this afternoon it is very green and there has been lots of smoke billowing for several hours... Mr C NOT impressed and we are eating inside... 😬
Still, people have started drinking 😂 and the weather is rather haphazard anyway. Just glad I didn't bother putting the gazebo up!8 -
How inconsiderate of your neighbour especially on a warm weekend.3
