Cruise ship said they have a library. So one book each. Turns out it's a reading room with fake books on the shelves. @redofromstart I've ordered some thru' the library and have picked up 3 Miss Silver from a 2nd hand book dealer in our local market. I've gleaned that, whilst there is some repeat of characters, the books don't have to be read in any set order.

I would have tried to throw the Captain overboard if I had found out they had nothing but fake books or only one book each.5

Brian Boitano won the Men's Singles Figure Skating gold medal at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics. Since then, he did the usual professional skating stuff, appeared in a skating-based movie (and won an Emmy), and did a few TV shows, appearing in Hell's Kitchen USA with Gordon Ramsay, as a judge on Masterchef in USA, and as a restaurant critic in California. He went to Liguria, Italy and found the ancestral village and lots of Boitano relies. Bought a derelict house which his great-grandfather had lived in, and his relies helped him completely restore it in six months.
So then he did a series on the village life and was cooking local recipes. I watched all the episodes I could find on YouTube. He's pretty good at the cooking lark.
Just found the cookbook for the series on eBay, day made !3 -
Took me years to build up my complete set of Miss Silver novels. Some I bought new-I even found some in The Works- the rest were from charity shops. I got the very last one from the Oxfam shop in Rochester about 10 years ago.5

Turns out I'm wrong about our ship not having books to borrow. Including an extensive collection of "Everyman" editions. Looks complete whereas the Harry Potters are well thumbed and missing a few...
