Yes, if your area has been cabled with real fibe by the likes of Openreach or City Fibre.

    Many ISPs use their infrastructure.

Is it possible to get home broadband without a landline ...
Do you mean "without a fixed-line telephone" or "without a wired connection"?
The answer to either is "yes" but the options are different :)
    ... and cheaper than virgin?
That's a yes in both cases, although you might have a slower connection.

Ok, as an easy example of wireless broadband take a look at Three's offerings:
There are more providers but this gives an idea of costs etc.

    Without a wire

We are unable to get 'traditional' fibre broadband so use the WISP service from

Is your definition of a "landline" a phone connection or the physical connection (wires or fibre)

There are basically three ways to get either broadband, a phone or both connected to your premises - two of them require a physical connection, either a pair of wires or an optical fibre and either can offer broadband and/or a fixed telephone connection) and you can choose what you want depending on the service provider (Plusnet and some others for instance dont offer a phone, but SKY, TalkTalk and other do)

The third way is using radio either using the 4G/5G mobile phone network or,  as JB suggests, with a WISP service but in general they are very few and far between and tend to be in rural areas where physical and mobile phones services are not available.

There is a fourth option, using a satellite connection like Starlink

The best thing to do is use the MSE broadband finder tool: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/compare-broadband-deals/

Enter your postcode and make sure you only have the 'Broadband' box ticked. You should then be shown the options for broadband only (ie excluding a home phone).
