I've got 3 in with VW finance companies, 2008, 2017 and 2020. Just the auto response so far.0

This is why many of us are saying that you should wait until the FCA review is complete before submitting any forms. Otherwise the companies are going to have to deal with unfair complaints and the costs of those are going to be passed to consumers. Which is not very moneysaving.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.1 -
Same response received :
Good afternoon
Thank you for contacting us regarding the commission model used on your agreement.
We have investigated and can confirm that a discretionary commission arrangement was not used on your agreement.
If you have contacted us regarding more than one agreement we will investigate each one and respond to you separately in the interests of clarity.
I trust this answers your query, however should you have any further queries please contact us at commissionclaims@vwfs.co.uk.

I have had a similar response. Surely if they have investigated and found no DCA was applied then would it be unreasonable of me to ask for specific evidence of their findings.0

I received an identical ( pro-forma?) email yesterday. I’ve claims in with them re another two agreements.
Isn’t this just a fob off/ go away standard reply? Surely VW have to be more explicit than just saying there was no discretionary commission applied?
Hopefully there’ll be more advice from Martin on
how to respond.

Why 'surely'. If they didn't operate a DCA agreement then thats all there is to say? Do you honestly think they would say that if there was with the financial penalties they would incur if found to be lying.

Slightly different scenario here with the FCA actively looking at this. What do you expect them to produce to show no DCA was in place?2 -

If you are just going to be imperious in your responses to people on this subject perhaps you’d be better off just butting out? Only saying.0
