If you are doing care home planning, make sure you understand immediate care needs annuities. These can be very helpful in funding continuing care and are tax free if paid direct to the care provider. This has been very helpful in funding my FiL's care home fees and ensuring he doesn't run out of money. A specialist product and not right for everyone but important to at least consider.
