thank you, it was like walking on ice in the shop cos the floor was so slippery and they put a stickly thing on the base so you don't mark the sole but this just makes things more slippery

  • Afternoon all! Was back in work today & boy did I feel it after 2 weeks doig nothing! Hadnt even got up the stairs & the S*** began to fly!! Had forgotten that I had a consulants appointment so also went to see the nurse as my stiches were really sore by lunch time - turns out one of the stitches is split :(. I needto go back later in the week so they can check it & if t gets more sore go earlier. Had a chat with top manager & may do 1/2 days later in the week & work from home pm as I can do stuff lying down ok - its just sitting thats the problem! Nurse said I'm ok in work but NO lifting allowed - how I'll manage that living on my own I dont know! Am on call this weekend so can have a quiet time (sad but my fave TBH!!). Failed miserably and got wine & fags on the way home - excuse being to celebrate being discharged by consultant for long ongoing tests that reveal nowt & was annoying me because I either want then to do something else (other than blood tests) or discharge me - he;s agreed that no major issues GP will do a blood test anyally which is great! This has been ongoing for 3 years so am really chuffed TBH! Anyway off to make a banana cake for work & do tea & just chill a bit while letting painkillers kick in. Back is really sore so want to be standing for a bit but thught the gym probably unwise!!! Also need to watch last nights taped damages. Hugs all - will pop in later!

Poor you honey - I hope that work is n't too stressful and that the days at home help.

Hope your painkillers kick in really quickly. I too had a sneaky fag....don't feel bad - it is worth celebrating and really pleased all seems fine apart from sore stitch.

if we sound alike then we'd best set the cooker timer so we can ring off after and hour and ring back, because P and I talked for England and Wales. Yes we must have a chat, i've not forgotten we need our chat about allotments.
Glad you are being realistic and doing half days for the end of the weekend, it takes time to work up to full time work after an op.
I've had a friend round this evening so i can certify her copies of documents for a mortgage, not sure about the mortgage but it's her decision. She also approves of the shoes and also of the tiara's i bought and the honey moon we've decided on. And also has some information about parking solutions for the honeymoon.

  • umm well the work at home hasnt come off as just too busy but did ok today! Discovered one of my collegues is an x- nurse so she kindly did the dressing this am & will do again tomorrow. Then seeing the nurse tomorrow so hopefully all ok - apparently looks ok today. Feeling fine and actually got quite a bit done today which is good!
Ths eve just chilling and catching up on washing. Did a wardrobe clearout when I got home as fed up of looking at clothes that dont fit! Problem with having a wardrobe from size 12 -18!! The only way is down lol! Spent my M&S vouchers today and got a skirt & top. Started doing my race for life sponsorship in work...otherwise all well! Hugs all. Thanks for concern but honestly I'm fine so no worrying please and I promise not to try running for a bit...possibly what burst the stitch but you never know! A lovely DFW is going to check with someone who should have a more definative when its safe to try without damage so watch this space!
