i'm totally confused about all this CJ stuff. what is it?

A circle journal... basically a book that you send to 5~10 people with a question on it (ie whats your fav colour/whats your 10 best things). They them design a page within the book that answers that question :)

sea, i hate the signin page :rotfl:as you can prob tell i do like my ribbons/fibres :D

    Domesticity has left the building!

Spent last night making the cards which were a must, now i need to do a journal entry and i'm sorted.

I was pleased with my journal until i saw the others now i'm thinking mine is too simple. I'm currently trying to figure out how to match ISOM's journal it's so highly decorated and i don't want to be out of style if you know what i mean.
  • Now listen. These CJ's are NOT a competition. The reason mine is so decorated is that I have a flippin shop in my house. See sig for 37000 LBM and thats why! I must have spent tens of thousands and did it do me a bit of good, no so please STOP this talk of being out of style. There is no style! CJ's are a personal thing and how you decorate it is how you decorate it. If I had realised that people would end up feeling like this would never ae suggested it. Its meant to be fun & relaxing & way way of expressing yourself - not intended to make people feel under pressure to do yet more unnecessary shopping & feel inferior :(
Glad that domestcity has left the building. I've worken up with migraine still in place which is really annoying. Just going to potter (again) today - put sofa covers back on, do more of the piggy which will take a while P as need to add bits to him (snout & ears!) so more patience needed! Looked at him & thought sommats up & thats it - he's missing bits! (not THOSE bits!). Hope youre all ok...hugs!

Oh honey! So sorry you are feelin unwell still.

I do think it's a fun and relaxing way of expressing ourselves. If I've said anything about
others, it's just because I am enjoying being challenged and moved from my 'standard' way of scrapping! I am SO glad you suggested it and am really enjoying it. If you hadn't started it I would never have dared do a CJ!! :D

  • Thanks sea - TBH I thin I'm just a bit fed up generally as been cooped up for days - lots of NSD but alot of time on here trying to help desperate newbies which I do find quite draining. Will try & get more of a balance today! Whie on one hand I love helping see people work thorugh issues there have bee some toug ones this week and whle I'm dreading going back to work I also think it will be a good thing for me!
Sofa covers back on (what an exciting life I lead!) ears & snout on piggy so going to have a bath and do next load of washing. ts lovely getting rid of the smoke! My lungs already feel clearer and flat seems cleaner. May even get the duster out!! LT - your cleaning bug has passed on! Spring come early perhaps?! Do we get a piccy of the shoes to cheer us up?!!

  • Hope bath helps the migraine ISOM. I love a bath when Im feeling achey. Can you pass the cleaning bug onto me when you are done? Cant seem to catch that one!

Thanks for your notes on my diary :A . It has really helped getting it all down and seeing that I do really need to be careful and proritise what where the money goes. If you could drop in once in a while it would be appreciated.

Thanks also for the CJ info as I didnt understand either

    Afternoon ISOM and all..
Thought I'd pop by and catch up!!...this CJ business is beyond my scope...lol...well done on not smoking the headache is probably the toxins clearing from your system. You are doing really well!!!
I really must stop...take care xx
  • Well a life of exctement continues! Last day at home today but on hols today so am going to be daring & LEAVE THE HOUSE!! Had 3 NSD which I'm chuffed about. Decided (a bit later than I should!!) that I will make mum a tapestry for mothers day which is simple (her name) from a free pattern so off to get those bits. Then to GP to put in new pescription for lozenges, the if I can for a plod and try new watch out before a trip to Mr T, with list in hand!!
Panias piggy is doing well and now painted (with ears & a snout!) so just the fun embellishment bit to go!
Striches are doing well and almost healed so I just have to be careful not to overdo it today when I go out - will just walk I think but will try a "trot" & see what it feels like.
Havent smoked now for a few days or had alch since last Tues and do feel better for both. I do definatey think that alch is a depressive from a personal point of view and feel much better when I dont! I laugh incredulously at myself the despite this I still drink - mad! Have given mysef a good talking to and seeing how many cals in a bottle of wine (500 for red/506 for white) definately helped in the decision! Staggering & no wonder I've been getting fatter!!
Hope youre all well...will catch up ater but bath about to overflow! Hugs all!

  • Well back from the excitements of tapestry shopping (20 for fabric & threads - the cheapie mothers day pressie didnt quite work as I'll need to get it framed!), the GP for my nicotene lozenges which will be ready tomorrow and the on for a quick walk and try running. Very quickly realised that it is too eary as hurt at about step 3! Just about to download the data from the watch which will interesting! Need to tweak settings as hard to tell is the satellite on track but can change the screen to show strength of signal! soooo exciting (for me at least).
Then tesco where I spent £33 - got some meat and bits & bobs and unsure why it was so much! May do a week of store cupboard challenge next week...so far spent £50/150 almost of the budget and only four days in!! OOps!
Came home to a letter from M&Smoney kindy saying they are increasing my interest to 20.0%   (from 3.9%). Got all ariated and tried to be calm (ate chocolate! - well cant drink or smoke so whats a girl to do - quite right - eat galaxy!) but rang and thankfully the low LOB I have remains as is until its paid off - thank goodness for that and thank goodness I havent spent on the cards! These things do make you realise how vulnerable you are though plus how they have you by the short & curlies! Anyway panic over! Going to enjoy my last day of freedom & start mums pressie. Got a new organiser box (£3) for my threads as they are all over the pace & little people with whiskers like to pick them up & kill them when they're like that & at 68 p each using them as mice is not an option!
