To be clear, UC entitlement is based on circumstances on the last day of each assessment period. I see their APs are 16th to 15th of each month.

This means (for eg) if their course ends on 30th June their last payment for the child element for them will be for AP 16th May to 15th June, with payment being 22nd June. They will not be entitled to the element for the following AP dated 16th June to 15th July.
  • Hi, another question.
    About the savings limit.
I know you get a 16k savings limit if you have moved from Tax Credit for the first 12 months.
Does the amount of UC reduce if the savings are over 6k?
also, my parents receive my brothers UC and PIP payments into there bank due to my brother not having the mental capacity to manage his own finances.
Due to this if my parents savings are over 6k will there UC still reduce as it’s only over 6k due to my sons benefits .
or do they have a 12k savings limit .
    should I let UC know?
    Thank you!
