Today I am grateful for seeing the bottom of the laundry basket, for doing a workout while Pip climbed, for DH prepping tea, for the random white hyacinth amongst all the blue ones - I must have planted it, but do not recall doing so!

Thank you for sharing photos of all your beautiful cats! We have 3 here, a ginger one, his sister is a big ball of gray fluff, & an older tabby cat who is quite delicate & points her toes like a ballerina 😃
NSD#1
Pottered about after breakfast & sorted out finances. Went for s walk with DH after hanging the washing out. Our reguly route was flooded due to all yesterday & last night's rain, so we had to detour through a field & climb over a gate! Returned home along the main road to avoid it.
Finished a sewing job this afternoon, with s film on TV in the background. It had lots of songs by The Cars in it, so put their greatest hits on to listen to afterwards. A customer dropped 2 dresses off for shortening. Been worrying about finances, shared my thoughts with DH. Can't decide if he was s bit irritable because he's a househusband & not working so feeling guilty, or because I work in a school & don't get paid for most of the school holidays!
Collected DS3 from town after tea, met his GF's mum, she seems lovely. Shortened the dresses, then practiced Norwegian.
Grateful for finally emailing my best friend from my schooldays (it's only been on my to do list since new year!), hearing from my friend in Norway & seeing lovely photos from her cliff climbing walk, clearing some of the sewing backlog, hugs from DS3
@grandmanerd, not sure if I've mentioned this before, or if you know already - DS1 used to have terrible eczema as a child, to avoid all the steroid based creams, I used to buy coconut oil, as you'd use for cooking. It came in a glass bottle, do I heated it on top of a radiator until it was liquid, then poured it into a lidded container, so I could take a bit out to rub into his skin. Think I'd initially paid £20 from H&B for a 500g tub of this, but then found a 500ml bottle for 69p in a local grocery shop!Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Yesterday's leek haul was pitiful at the plot but then again it's almost the end of the season. The forced rhubarb was fantastic, lots of lovely pale pink sticks. Picked a massive bag of psb which we will have with tea tonight and will freeze the rest. Fil was glad to get up there but was very tired after an hour. Planning to take him up again at the weekend to sow more broad beans. He can stand and put them into pots in the greenhouse where it's warm. Popped to mums house to give her car a run out and to pick up her ice cream maker as you can't have crumble without ice cream. Also picked up additional clothes, some knitting and crocheting. Batch cooked soup made about 10 portions. No money spent - nsd 2
Grateful for
1. That fil made it on to and off the plot OK. (he's not well at the moment)
2. The plot for providing pudding.
3. Lovely sunshine, that dried my washing.
Love 🐞10
