Am I entitled to PIP due to not being able to socialize? (I think not, but just checking).

Thankyou. It's just a tad embarrassing what I do (say certain things so many times to the four walls, and more) when thinking about things I've said and done. I have an appointment with the CAB on Tuesday face to face. I have been reading the case studies and the thing about creating relationships is the one I think that's going to help me, and I now know to make it clear on the form how I can interact with the assessor when I get the phone call. I have quite a bit of evidence to my solitary lifestyle. I was looking at ten years of my medical records recently and whenever I go to the hospiital or doctors it says that I presented alone; I didn't know they recorded that. I've also kept a diary since I was 14, plus I never have a next of kin when filling out forms. Stuff like that. Only snag is, there is nothing on my medical notes saying how I live.

Anyway, today is an ok day as no headache and the sun is shining. :).

Theres a difference between being a loner and having MH issues that causes this, I fear the evidence above does not point to a health condition causing this, whereas if you were to send in your MH assessment it would add strength to it.
PIP assessor isn’t going to see or read your dairy, nor ask about when you fill a form out who is your NOK.
Im 50 Ive been going to the doctors alone for the past 30+ years.  Again your PIP assessor isn’t going to read/see this.

I totally understand your anxious about your PIP assessment, however this is normal.  I would again suggest if you have a copy of your answers to the questionnaire then have them near by.  Answer the questions with real life examples, dont try to second guess what you think they want to hear. Or what you think will get you a higher award, stick to what you can and more importantly what you cant do.

    Good luck.

    Permanent mizzle here...lol.

I agree with what Pete above says. Crucial for you is indicating there is a real medical matter at play because the difference between preference/choice and medically induced symptomology is critical here. In blunt terms I've never been to the cinema for 30 years but it isn't because I can't sit down for 2 hours it is because there's nothing worth watching at the cinema. So that's why like Pete I see value in you being 'medicalised'... and it isn't something psychiatrists particularly like doing as they don't seem to like labelling people... so reports that put your difficulties and lifestyle under description by mental health specialists along with potential or actual diagnosis could be invaluable. It is important to think this is not a police investigation... they won't spend any great effort seeking out truth and facts beyond what they basically have to do to process your application.. so the importance of claimant getting evidence into the process that they want to influence it is paramount.

But perhaps above all.. focus on the activities and descriptors... have absolute clarity in your mind which activities are relevant and which descriptors apply to you. A good case for that needs to be made in form completion where hopefully you get CAB help as indicated... and it's important to have in mind when being assessed. Naturally I assume you think you should qualify for some award based on checking the descriptors for all 12 activities... otherwise my advice would be different.

While I get what you are saying about your conditions. That statement could simply be taken that you live alone or have no one with you.
I have noticed that on the Mrs medical notes, they are stating presented with husband, I'm am listed on their system as carer & able to manage her data with them. No idea why or what difference it makes to something like PIP.
I'm there as she can not walk without assistance. But could also be taken that I'm controlling her life.

Only once in the last 40+ years have I been accompanied to a gp or hospital appointment and that was when I received my cancer diagnosis 5 years ago.
