The price is the price. 25 + years ago our coalman supplied an equivalent of a 50 kg bag for £7.50. Now it’s 5 times more… so it’s only going up in price!

Our coalman is now £35 per 50kg.....

Locally we're £16.00 for 25kg and £30.00 for 50kg. Or posher stuff for £17.50 / £33.0 Not sure minimum but 3 x 25kg includes free delivery.

Looks like supermarket is expensive compared to a coal merchant, unless you only want a few kg.

Not sure if it is all stores but Asda has 10kg bags of ecoal for £4.00. Says special purchase.

Probably as heating season eases as Summer approaches and they want it gone. As has always been the pattern .
