Nationwide customer with a personal FlexPlus account opened in Feb 24 which means I qualify via that.

However, also got a joint flex account with my wife. Over £100k in transactions over the period. A couple of savings accounts and a mortgage customer for 19 years. Do not qualify. The reason, 2 of the 3 months didn't have more than 10 transactions.

Note to self. Pay in £1000 Jan, Feb, Mar 2025 and make 10x £100 transactions back into the funding account.
Why not change the joint account to FlexPlus and your sole account to Flex?
That way both you and your wife are covered by the insurance and you both get £100 automatically.
*presuming that simply paying the FlexPlus fee remains sufficient (and future payments continue at all)

I messed up - remembered the criteria first two months and then took my eye off the ball.  My own fault, no-one else's.  However, I got the switch bonus and last year's £100 and an 8% regular saver so no reason to complain.  I now have calendar reminders in place ready for next year!

I have been a member for over 10 years, have a current account, a credit card and an ISA. Apparently I'm not eligible! 😡
How ACTIVE is your current account?

I've had a current account with NW [for decades], along with a few savings accounts. But i'm ineligible.
How do you know? They haven't announced eligibility criteria for this year yet.

If you're going by last year's conditions and you have both a current account and savings accounts then surely, with a bit of creative movement of money around, you could have matched last year's eligibility earlier this year, on the off-chance that those conditions might be repeated this year.
I didn't know as i could not see into the future. I was talking about last year.
  • The only reason I got the payment was because l have a Flex Plus account for the cheap insurance package. I closed all  savings accounts and reg.savers, but was unable to close a fixed term account.

I will have to wait until that matures before I can totally avoid dealing with this so called mutual society.

A taxable payment of £100, for helping them them further their banking ambitions, is an affront to many long term members, who have put them where they are today. They have shown total disregard for the membership concerning the Virgin takeover, and I'm certainly not beholden to an annual kickback, whilst the board continues to line their pockets with obscene amounts of members money.

I am perfectly happy with them . Cheap insurance, an 8% Regular Saver and now an 18 month fixed bond paying 5.5%  Plus a £100 gift coming my way. There is no pleasing some people.

A taxable payment of £100 is most welcome from where I'm standing.

I'm not egilable, do payments to bookies online not count?

I have a mortgage with them.

I don't see why they wouldn't. Did you pay in £500/month? How many payments out did you make?

They certainly know how to just do enough to maintain a servile membership.

I don't consider any of the benefits you cite are adequate recompense for their autocratic stance in disregarding their members.
