    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Make sure we see lots of photos! I have been considering a second kitten but this one is mayhem enough 😂

P.S. I have two ragdoll grandcats! I blame them for my decision to get a kitten.

Miss S is gorgeous.  Am also going to have to look out for pics from @dawnybabes
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

I had a lovely day yesterday with my friend and taking it easy today. Heading out for a run soon, one load of washing out and I have my winter coat in the machine for a freshen up.

I have been looking at kitchens, part of me wants to wait til the mortgage is gone but the other part is looking at pretty kitchens and thinking ooo I want!

Yaaay for the nice time with your friend 😊

How functional is your current kitchen? Is there anything that can be done to ‘keep it going’ until the time you think you should spend on a kitchen?

When will the mortgage be paid off (and you will then be free to say no to work …) if you budget for having a kitchen now?

My kitchen is fully functional KK just outdated and ugly. I think it would add an extra year on to the mortgage so it makes sense to just wait but if I did it now it would be three more years of enjoying my kitchen. I probably won’t do it but just having a look.

Today I ran, visited DM and DS popped in. He seems a bit tired and fed up, suddenly the saving for a mortgage while paying rent is proving difficult just as I predicted but it was their choice… he’s young, he’ll get there.

Might be worth looking at getting the cupboard fronts repainted and new work tops? That might refresh it enough to stop it being annoying to you?

Sympathies to DS … It’s a tough phase of life he’s passing through …

I have seen this style painted and it’s not much better. There’s a huge gap as well where there is a fridge freezer but must have been integrated in the past. I shall stick with it for now but maybe create another pot and save for that next.
