Kitten met friend’s dogs last night and was happy and quite confident which was nice, always hopeful of a pup in the future so nice to see her unfazed.
Mortgage has gone out today, only £200 OPed this month but that’s better than nothing! I have an additional £100 in a savings pot for mortgage but keeping it accessible in case it is needed.
Plan for today is to walk into town for haircut and to get SOMETHING on sale on v!nted. I have been saying I will do this for ages and yet have done nothing. I have set myself a challenge to make an extra £400 by the end of the year and declutter in the process.Mortgage OP 2026 £640/2000Mortgage balance: £32,240

Went for a run this morning and a walk too so got the steps in early. Went to see DM later and had dad and sis over.
I have decided to get some work done on the house so OPs will be staying low for a while although there was a time £200 was a dream😂
£10 left from grocery money this week, makes a change!
Kitten is getting bigger, not such a wee thing now.

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!2 -
Thanks Watty, she is such a sweetheart, bonkers but a sweetheart 💗
I just sorted out pet insurance, frog eaten! Hopefully some cash back at some point too.
It’s a bit windy here today so might head to the gym for the first time in ages. Also want to head to the library to sort out my library card as it has expired apparently, I found out when I tried to take a book out online this morning. I did however manage to book tickets for an author event later in the month and I fancy seeing an exhibition that ends this week so something to do in the rain…
So this week’s big aim is to get something on v!nted. Not back to work until the weekend so no excuses!Mortgage OP 2026 £640/2000Mortgage balance: £32,240

Not achieved much this week but some weeks are like that I suppose.
Positive news is my daily interest is now £4.45 and before my rate jumped up in July 23 it was £4.28 so I have nearly got back to that despite the rate almost doubling. New fix from next month will reduce it further.
Today’s plan is a run, tidy up (me and the house), visit DM and a few hours overtime with a late finish. Working this weekend too.
I posted about a scatty friend who had let me down a lot on someone else’s diary, well she has sort of done it again. Making arrangements to meet, very chatty then we were arranging a date and I suggested next weekend. Suddenly radio silence for a week now. To me there should be either a sorry can’t make it, yes let’s go for it or let me check and I will get back to you. So I was left hanging… someone at work wanted to swap shifts for a family thing so I have decided to work instead. If she gets in touch expecting to meet I will explain why I am no longer available as it’s each and every time recently. I feel she is waiting to see if any better options appear.Mortgage OP 2026 £640/2000Mortgage balance: £32,240
