Well this weekend I have been sick as a dog - some bug I think but missing a day and a half’s wages🙄 still these things happen and I think the worse has passed now…
In money news I realised if I want to have an awfully big adventure trip for my 60th I need to start saving now! Otherwise there is no way I will want to take the money out of savings 😂 with this in mind I have set up a new pot for it and now have the grand sum of £6 in there😂

- When bought house £315,995 mortgage debt and end date at start = October 2039 - now £233,521
- OPs to mortgage = £11,816 Interest saved £5,28 to date

No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

I am much better today thank you all. I took DF to see DM and said I was going back to cut the grass, DF said his needed doing but he had a wee op last week and us supposed to be avoiding heavy activity for another fortnight, so I ended up cutting his first then mine. I’m now incredibly curious as to what the 60th trip would entail and how far off it is. Obviously I’m meant to be working but instead, let me live vicariously, please.

I was thinking Japan but then remembered looking at Costa Rica, then saw something about Vietnam and Cambodia 😂 I also want to do part of the Camino de Santiago but that will be relatively cheap so hopefully that too. I plan on giving up full time employment around 60 and just taking sessional work so need to save now if I want to splurge.
