So went for a walk with El and her DH yesterday, had another walk alone later.
Today I took my folks for their shopping and went for a walk on my own this afternoon and got soaked.
Finally made a grid - not too scale but it will do the job as a visual reminder.

I had a look at kitchens yesterday, no decision made yet but I think I will try and get it done this year. Nothing ridiculously expensive but it’s a kitchen from the 1980s and showing wear and tear.
I am off to the cinema today to see Priscilla at the cheap showing for auld folk😂Mortgage OP 2025 £6200/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Loving the house grid ... You need to also do a celebratory dance when you get to colour a square in - its the rule
I also write the date in the box so I can see when I coloured it in so you can track your progressDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
