You've also been given advice that if the repair fails then there is more that you can do in the future.
People here can only advise you on what your consumer rights are, we cannot change the consumer rights for you irrespective if we agree or disagree on the duration.4 -

I came here to see if there was anything further that I could do but that was clearly a mistake - instead it has been !!!!!! taking with very little actual solid advice
Or...you could take a breath, apologise for being short with people who've helped, and hope that they continue to provide helpful advice if Currys start mucking you around with the repair appointment and any resolution. Currys doesn't have the greatest reputation for things like this, so you may very well need it.4 -

You got the answer, there is nothing further you can do.
You could try asking nicely (honey catches more bee's than vinegar) if they would lend you a TV while they repair yours. You never know 🤷♀️Life in the slow lane0 -
Off topic, but I was wondering recently what happened to the poster who was repeatedly banned for being offensive to other posters, but who kept resurrecting under French sounding names?
I think they were last here as @LaHostessAvecLaMostess1 -

I don't think it's the same person. LaHostess et al had a pretty coherent style of expression and generally seemed to know what they were talking about - until they had a meltdown late at night.
They also tended to be a bit "anti-consumer" in their views and usually tried to push a trader's point of view. Not what the big cheese is doing...0 -

Given the retailer was Currys, i wonder if the OP was mistakenly delivered a microwave, but didn't notice (perhaps a fan of GB News where the same thing goes around and around every day)4 -
The OP made the biggest mistake in buying something expensive from Currys, who are not well renowned for their after-sales service - although do appear to be meeting their legal obligations in this case.
It also appears that Currys made a mistake in selling to the OP, who doesn't appear to be able to extend the same courtesy to others that he demands himself.0 -
I am afraid that the words ‘consumer rights act’ do not actually have magic powers and does not allow you to force a retailer to bend a knee to your demands. You have a reasonable response from Curry’s - that they are willing to repair it. That is their right. Your right is to be put in the position as if the breach (ie the breakage) hadn’t occurred. You should realistically accept it. If the TV breaks again then I believe you can exercise your final right to reject.2

OP is going to have a total brain meltdown when the repairer arrives and says it needs to go into their workshop for repair, and if he behaves to the repairer like he has behaved here they will likely have it sitting on their bench for a few weeks to test and make sure it works properly before going back.
When will people learn that you get much further when you're nice3
