I suspect it may be one of the multi-apartment companies that seem to be common these days but want to be sure before giving an opinion.
I have noticed more and more the importance of being careful in Poland but luckily have decent suppliers in the cities I need now.I’ll pop it below here. And you could be right re the multi apartment listing
its frustrating as I purely looked at the location of the actual building. To find it linked elsewhere is just infuriating!

Which address have you got? As the 3 showing on the site with the exception of Jaglana are arguably actually in a better location than the address shown for the 'central strip' along the marina/river, although that is very close to a tram stop (and public transport in Poland is very good, plus being especially cheap with a multi-day ticket). They're slightly further from the old town however the areas in general are quiet. We stayed in Chlodna a few years ago (slightly further Jaglana) and found it a 10-ish minute walk to the edge of the centre and 5-ish to the tram stop to the main station.
In terms of general honesty that looks like one of the better ones unless it's very much outside of the centre.
The terms of your contract for this booking will be based in Poland. I own a tour operating company in Poland and the rights for accommodation only are no refunds except due to dishonesty unless otherwise governed by the contract.
That to me looks to be one of the best locations you could have with mobility difficulties. You're close to the main strip and right within the historic centre. There are some well priced restaurants nearby to there and there are Zabka and Biedronka stores very nearby for taking food back.
You can message them and ask to change the location for this reason, but as I see they are largely at will to select whichever location they want knowing the general terms of that particular site.
If you need some specific pointers please ask, as I know Gdańsk quite well.💙💛 💔1 -
When I click select I’m getting the option of one bedroom apartments on different streets, including the one that you are in?
but that’s not using the map function, it’s using the options that come up on the app.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
GreenmanBRS said:Just to add as well for thoughts, I was under the impression that a listing on booking had to be within the same property/block of apartments rather than be spaced over x amount of space? It’s not something I’ve seen in the UK so unless it’s a regional rule, am surprised it would even be allowed anyway due to this exact issue?💙💛 💔0

Thanks for your both replies
so in terms of asking about a move, they’re said if I can pay them separately, then I can indeed move (although that makes me feel uncomfortable not going through the website and doing it on the side)
In terms of location, it was just to wonder around. There was some bars we specifically wanted to go to which was closer to the one we thought we were getting. But to also be next to the tram would have been perfect.@elsien - So I went with the top option for the dates I went for assuming it was for that building as that was the one I was looking that, I do see the street names if I’m looking back but there’s no way I’d have expected to have to search separately for the locations using that functionality as it makes it totally redundant if so. Also the first set of reviews you see is everyone saying the location is perfect, so again assumed it must have been the same place as there was no other comments around it.I get how I could have delve a little further into each specific option, just find it surprising that there isn’t more there popping out to make it clearer. I should have just booked a hotel haha0 -
I've just been able to replicate what Elsien has said.
I'd be looking at the 'flexible to reschedule' option if you need it, asking to chabge the accommodation.
As far as this goes and the previous question, the listing clearly states 'different location' and gives a list of addresses. That is about as clear as it can be.
The difference between Tartaczna 2 (the address shown on booking.com on the link you used and also on the map for me) and the Hilton is about 200m, so I can't see this as being a reason to cancel on its own unless there are multiple steps that otherwise wouldn't be and a wheelchair user or similar, at which point a room exchange is likely to be easier where possible.💙💛 💔0 -

That isn’t the room and street that came up for me. It was on Dulag 47/49 (I think that’s the street?) that was coming up for me on the map, which is about a 15 minute walk away.0 -

I've paid partially through the site and for breakfast/room upgrade on arrival a number of times. 99.9% of businesses in Poland are honest and I've only met 1 rogue accommodation, although legally we did get what we paid for.
In Poland you have a legal right to a receipt for cash transactions. This must contain the tax number of the business which can be searched in a public register even for sole traders (unlike the UK).💙💛 💔0 -

If you get any problems on arrival, the police have zero tolerance regarding scams against tourists.💙💛 💔0
