...the issue date is the 12th/02/24 .

With a Claim Issue Date of 12th February, and having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 18th March 2024 to file your Defence.

That's four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence but please don't leave it to the last minute.
To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look at the second post in the NEWBIES thread.
Don't miss the deadline for filing a Defence.

Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.
  • Thanks Keith. I’ve emailed them both as per Coupon Mad’s advice and if I don’t get any joy, I’ll send the defence. I’m hoping they do fight it, they’re really barking up the wrong tree this time.

Hope so. Valid counterclaim and by sending that email to both, you've told them... !
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • I really appreciate your time and kind assistance, all of you. Thank-you.

I’ll report back when I hear something.

Cheers @Debszzzz2 I searched everywhere (well clearly not everywhere) for that.  Wasn't on the usual page - privacy policy.  Where did they tuck it away?
  • Are these people stupid on purpose? This is the reply I got back. Surely if they have data about me, I’m entitled to it? I told them I’m not the registered keeper or the driver 🙈

But more importantly, they’ve ignored the bit where I’ve asked them to cancel the claim within 7 days or else I’ll counter claim.
  • Good evening,

We can only provide data to either the driver or the registered keeper if the driver has not been identified.

If you are the driver or the registered keeper, you can formally request a SAR if you provide a written request with the vehicle details and the parking charge reference number. The letter must be signed and sent with a copy of the driving license so we can verify the id and signature.

The documents can be printed, signed and scanned back to this email address or can be sent through the post.

  • By acting thick and making life difficult they hope most people will simply give up and pay.

I would respond with a copy of the notification they addressed to you along with a redacted utility bill showing your name and address. Do not provide them with any photo ID such as a driving licence or passport. Confirm once again that you are neither the registered keeper nor driver of the vehicle and that if they do not respond to your SAR request you will be complaining to the ICO

@Coupon-mad this sounds very similar to this

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6285333/vcs-hit-for-1-500-counterclaim-5-years-worth-of-harassment/p1

Could it be that its either a bad trace, or a mistaken digit on the number plate. I'd counter claim also.
