eBay Zero Selling Fees until 15 April - WOW !

This unexpected puppy landed overnight. Maybe eBay are getting concerned about the impact of HMRC requirements on their business model ?
I guess the dilemma is whether to rush in and relist all the promotional listings added from last week (70% off, 80% off and £1 FVF) or take the hit now by sending Offers to Watchers this weekend firstly. Think I'd personally prefer to utilise the existing interest and sacrifice the 30% in my case. If the Offers don't get the Sale, then you've sorted the Lurkers from the potential Buyers - and can then safely relist.
We want to give you peace of mind that there’s no new ‘side hustle’ tax. Like before, HMRC guidance says if you are just selling some unwanted items that have been lying around your home, such as the contents of a loft or garage, it is unlikely that you will have to pay tax. As you registered with us before January of this year, you shouldn’t be affected by sales reporting until 2025.
The only change is that HMRC is now asking online platforms, like eBay, to share information with them. This reporting doesn’t change your tax obligations, and only happens under these new rules when you pass one of their thresholds: Your sales are over £1,740 in a year (after fees); or You complete more than 30 sales in a year.
If you’re unsure about whether you need to pay tax for your sales, find out more here.
*Offer on selling fees is valid from 16 February until 15 April. Applies to final value fees. Private sellers only. T&Cs apply.

Just come on to post this- pipped to the post! I'll add it to the main thread though .
One of my private accounts didn't get the FVF offer last weekend- and that account has now got this offer. My main private account has also got this offer- I may have to have another search through cupboards to see what I can list to free up room in the house.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I've had a look at the Ts and Cs as I usually do, the only thing to remember is the usual exclusions including 'Final value fees apply for Second Chance Offer'.
I don't recall seeing a full 100% off of FVfs for years now!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I haven't had a fees offer for over a year now and still haven't.
I have just clicked on the link for this one but said invitation only!
I used to get offers every other week but last February they stopped. I have tried listing stuff on full fees and also not listing anything but nothing works.0 -
Just got the email. Time for a clearout.0

I thought the link was working took me all the way through until right at the end I got “sorry, this offer is by invitation only”

I got the same sorry this offer is by invitation only message, so I have emailed in a complaint, if I don’t get the offer I won’t be listing or buying anything until after April, I can’t imagine eBay will be at all concerned by my one person protest but it makes me feel better 🤣0

I did wonder if this offer would flood the market and hit sales- but I've been pleasantly surprised at the sales I'm getting , especially as it is mid month. Traditionally my private sales are more impulse sales rather then necessities I traditionally sell more at the beginning of the month when a lot of people have their pay day.
I'm wondering how many people actually got this offer, it seems a bit hiss and miss on the forums I read .I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
