Asking on behalf of someone else.
What's the easiest account to open without the need of a selfie?
Used TSB as no selfie needed.

Depends on the type of account wanted. I've opened many non current accounts without the need for a selfie.1

It would be a current account

I presume you can open a current account in branch without needing a selfie. For the online applications, all the ones I have used have required some kind of selfie/video verification. Surely this is a good thing? Would be interesting to understand someone's reluctance for not wanting one?0

It will be hard to open one without someone seeing your face. If you go into a branch your face will be recorded on their CCTV, and wherever you open one you'll probably need to show your driving licence or passport which will have your photo on it too.0

Mine, but it's really old!
Incidentally, when did the humble portrait photograph become known as the 'selfie'? I have been asked to provide 'selfies' on occasion but all were taken by other people, thus not selfies in the true sense. Someone once even demanded that she be able to take a 'selfie' of my unedifying boat for some company record or other. I let her do so, but didn't take the photo myself...1 -
this is the kind of pedantry I can really get behind! You're absolutely right of course!Ditzy_Mitzy said:Mine, but it's really old!

To answer my own question, the TSB, didn't require a selfie or any photo ID
