My current 2-year contract with Plusnet ends in August. Currently pay £25/m; new improved price = £54 from August. How do you find an alternative? It currently covers broadband and line rental.

I just go back and forth between NOW TV Broadband and Plusnet (via Quidco) to keep my prices as low as possible.0

I keep seeing comments on this site about Plusnet dropping phone call packages in the future. I don't know what is going to happen but I suggest you research this if a phone service is essential to you.0 -
That's quite far in advance to be notified of the new price. In my experience they offered cheaper deals if I signed a new contract. Their offer was time limited, miss the deadline and they are not interested in negotiating.Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid1

A couple of weeks before the end of your contract, go on a comparison site and find a better deal. You could contact Plusnet to see if they have any offers to retain your custom. If you decide not to stay with Plusnet, then clear your cookies or use a private tab, go through Quidco or Topcashback, and sign up for the better deal.0

Time to switch, start with the MSE Broadband comparison page or another like Moneysupermarket to find a better deal.
Plusnet might offer to beat your best deal or you can switch and enjoy some cashback and a great new customer offer from another provider.

Just be careful that your telephone exchange has not become "fibre priority" - if it has ,then nobody else will be able to offer you any service other than full (FTTP) fibre - and many are not offering a phone service with the broadband. ONLY Plusnet can allow you to continue with your existing package (for the moment!)0
