Usually in the event of any contradictory information, product-specific T&Cs ultimately apply.

That will certainly be their legal position. The letter is just a communication and forms no part of either the general or product specific terms of the account.As @AmityNeon said, if any contradiction between the two the product specific terms always trump the general terns2
