Issues with Currys instant exchange

Hi all,
I bought a mini freezer from Currys/Logik about two weeks ago, it arrived last week. Every 20 mins it makes loud noises for about 10 mins, even if it's on the minimum setting. Louder than my large fridge freezer. I spoke to Logik yesterday who told me (after I gave them the product code) that it's faulty and eligible for an instant exchange and I should tell Currys customer service. I've told Currys customer service and they asked for an uplift number. Rang back Logik who said they don't give out uplift numbers and I should tell currys its an instant exchange. Rang back Currys who said that they still need the uplift number. Someone said they'd call Logik for me later today but I was also told that yesterday and no one called back. Any suggestions on what to do?

As it's a mini freezer is it small enough to put in the back of a car and take it in to Currys yourself?  If so, that is what I would do, and not leave until the manager sorted it out.  Your contract is with Currys and you shouldn't have to get involved with Logik at all.

I assume you mean Currys Instant Replacement?

Currys Instant Replacement is an additional paid-for service you buy separately from the product itself. For three years you get instant replacement of a brand-new item whenever it breaks down so no repairs, engineer visits, etc.

Do exactly what @TELLIT01 says above.

Hi, I don't have a car unfortunately, but Logik did say it might be worth going to the store

No not Instant Replacement, Logik said the product code of my device is faulty and Currys should replace it instantly.

I would push logic for a uplift code. But guess they are trying to offload the issue to currys.

I don't think Logik are trying to offload the issue to Currys.  The problem is for Currys to sort out if the OP purchased through them.  The freezer developed a fault within 2 weeks to it's up to Currys to prove it's not faultly.  The OP shouldn't have to chase various parties for a resolution.

    Agreed.  It's Currys problem.

Wonder if OP can get an email from Logik confirming that:
... I spoke to Logik yesterday who told me (after I gave them the product code) that it's faulty and eligible for an instant exchange and I should tell Currys customer service...

    Continuation from previous post

... then the OP can offload it onto Currys.

[Apologies for split post.  It's the rubbish quote function on this forum...   :(   :s   :'(  ]

I don't think so either because Logik is just the brand name Currys use for their own in-house products.

So the treatment of the OP is even less excusable then!   :D
