I initially sent mine the same as yours , I contacted fca and they confirmed stellant , did the same form and had a receipt email , today I recieved confirmation that 1 of the 3 claims I put in had the discretionary payment added , they had charged me 12.5% APR !

Just because Stellantis used discretionary commission payments does not mean that they did on every contract, even more so with the companies that they have taken over. The actual rate has little to do with whether discretionary commission was charged. Some people on low rated will have had them increased due to discretionary commission and some on high rates will have not, there are too many variables for things to be that simple.

I am not sure where the surprise here comes in? The 12.5% was stated on the paperwork you signed so you knew what you were agreeing to. It's possible you were quoted 13.5% and DCA actually helped you as they lowered it, wait until September

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
