Well, as I said, no doubt you are perfectly right. You do, however, make a surprising number of assumptions - for example, we do not buy or even look at car magazines, whether "typically" or at all, when we want to buy a car; we read reviews online, and we use adblockers in our browsers. I know a lot of people find advertisements interesting and useful; we find them irritating and intrusive, and prefer to do our research via reliable expert web sites rather than happening across advertisements. YMMV.

Certainly, the car which we ordered had not been advertised along with any kind of finance offer anywhere that we noticed, including inside the dealership. Maybe you will say that I should have looked around for advertisements which were not obvious! But when buying something expensive, we never pay any attention to advertisements; what we do pay attention to is independent reviews, and we draw up our shortlist based on those. Since Martin didn't see fit to discourage buyers of new cars from using his form, I shall just wait until September to see what happens.
The only issue is if they offered you a higher interest rate than the lender was prepared to lend at in exchange for a higher commission.

Hi)
I had a Finance agreement with FCA (Fiat and Chrysler) which merged with Stellantis.
I submitted my complaint to Stellantis with regards to the commission payment and they have replied to say they can't find any agreement with the details I have provided, so they have closed my compliant.
I still have the original documentation and agreement number, Car registration etc.
Please can someone advise what I should do next?
Kind Regards0 -
Did they actually merge or did the company get bought out etc? When was the merge completed and when was your finance over - if for example you paid off in 2017 and the merge was 2020 they may not have imported the records or deleted them per GDPR
Have you spoken to Fiat?Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Fiat Chrysler previously used Credit Agricole as their main finance provider who still have a UK presence. https://www.ca-autofinance.co.uk/
Stellantis was only formed in 2021, they have their own finance arm - which has no connection with Credit Agricole.1 -
Hi
My finance agreement was with FCA.. There is a post on google that says FCA merged with another company to create Stellantis.
The official merged was 2021.
My finance was 2015-2018.
Just not sure what to do next. I still have my original agreement0 -
Have you tried contacting Credit Agricole?
Stellantis was a merger of Fiat Chrysler/Peugeot/Citroen PSA Group/ Vauxhall/Opel/.0 -
Can I ask Why Credit Agricole? When all my paperwork was with FCA.

Because as I mentioned in an earlier post in this thread (which I guess you missed) prior to the Stellantis merger Fiat Chrysler partnered with Credit Agricole as their motor vehicle finance provider. https://www.ca-autofinance.co.uk/. Might be worth a try.0
