If you receive Pension Credit, not the State Pension, for any day in the period 13 November 2023 to 12 December 2023 then yes.

Otherwise, you should have already received all your CoL payments so far. The last ones being the Pensioner Cost of Living Payment top up to the Winter Fuel Payment in December, and the Disability Cost of Living Payment back in April.

    Anyone received their £299 yet?

This being the first day, i have not.
I've not had mine neither.... bit angry about it because I bloody need it!

The real problem is that benefit levels are too low in the first place. To put things into perspective for myself. I'm getting IR ESA, I'm living, existing on less than I was earning 19 years ago before I had to give up work due to ill health!

I get UC, Lcwra and pip, no mobility just the care bit. I get roughly the same as I did when I was working full time 5 years ago, which is £1442.

I think you have to cut your cloth better. My bills come to £502 per month, that's everything. I don't have any subscriptions or fancy phones, not that I would if I did have the money, but I live on what I get. The only thing that I do spend more on is gas for the heating because my condition is worse if I'm cold.

It sure sucks being on benefits but have to make the best out of a bad situation.

And just for the original op I got mine yesterday, Monzo early payment thingy. But I don't rely on getting it either, it's just a nice little bonus.

  • I don't understand people's issue with others discussing the col payment.

You don't know what people have been through to land them in utter desperate circumstances.

I'll be checking my bank at 8am, hoping and praying it's there.
  • Mine went in this morning.

They can moan all they want but the date it goes into their bank is beyond anyone's control and nothing we can do about it. They give a payment window because it's impossible to pay millions of people on the same day.
