Cost of living payments

Hi , my tax credits payments stopped 25 January 24 will I still be entitled to last cost of living payment in February?

You are eligible for the Cost of Living Payment of £299 if you received a payment of tax credits for any day in the period 13 November 2023 to 12 December 2023, or if you later receive a payment for any day in that period.

Can I be blunt.... every time there's a COL payment due over a window period people get obsessed with whether they should have received it yet... whether others have received it yet... why they have not received it yet... what protocols are being employed to determine payment order etc etc. It becomes a festival of boasts and paranoia and sometimes derails threads as I suspect may happen here.

My advice is if you think you're entitled to a payment (and the rules are very clear on the government website) and do not receive it by the end of the window specified that you should (which again is specified on the government website)... then come to a place like MSE and ask for advice. Otherwise being honest it's just wasteful gossip.... I got my payment today but that means absolutely nothing to your circumstances. The answer  to your question is thousands have and thousands have not.

Exactly, it's the first day. You have up until 22nd to receive it.

We do understand but there's nothing anyone can do. It's a payment window and not everyone will receive it on the first day. It can be anytime up until 22nd.
