Dishes dried and put away. Cupboards in kitchen wiped down, bedding changed, flat surfaces in bedroom wiped. I am showered, dressed and suitably dehaired. It would be time to walk Poppet now but its tipping it down out there.Spend less now, work less later.8

I'm sorry, I've fallen so far behind! New (to us) car acquired, so that got cleaned. Seems to be okay so far (touch wood). Mechanic friend has looked her over briefly and said she seems okay. Dog is back to normal after a worrying few days last week.
I'm behind in so much of the non-dailies, like skirtings and woodwork, dusting. Also my vacuum was stinky so I stripped it down to clean out and that meant leaving it to dry. Floors are desperately bad now.
So far: s&s x2, WMx2, TDx1, FUPAx1, pick up garden, fence replaced, cash taken to post office, 1 bed stripped and washed, coats organised, general tidy, emailed council, crunched numbers for HMRC, now stuck on hold and automated system has me in the wrong queue, hoping they can transfer me.
To do: vac and mop all floors, deal with HMRC. Do the deep cleaning chores from my app in kitchen and bathroom, sheets dry and replaced, pick up after Junior Flamingo who is off (again!) and has covered the living room with toy cars

I have 7 boxes of books in the car out of girl sight to go to the lady coming to collect tonight.. and if she doesn't I shall be most displeased when I have spent all day using my spoons willy-nilly to sort them all out for her
Another load of washing done ready to hang up..
I have a head ache

Afternoon all - I've been here all the time, but yesterday I had no computer and I hate trying to type on my K!nd1e.
asb, I would fight the council for your rights every step of the way. Glad to know that DD is worth £1xxx
Come on pigpen, you can do this!
So far this week (2 days) I have
- finished sorting the last few ancestors
- taken my computer to the local repair shop to get the new antivirus put on more cheaply than if I had renewed online
- cleaned all through upstairs, including taking everything off my desk and wiping that down
- spent yesterday evening watching quiz and genealogy programmes
- cleaned DH's bedroom and ensuite, including cleaning the walls by the side of his bed which had been splashed with coffee(?)
- re-potted one of his cacti - horrible things! - which was top-heavy and kept falling over
- hoovered the LR, hallway (3 times because of the mud falling off DH's trainers) and DR
- cleaned the kitchen more thoroughly than usual (not just a S&S), including emptying and cleaning bins
- threw out the big, partially used bottle of ketchup in the utility fridge which had a sell-by date of 2020
- ditto the little bottle in the kitchen fridge which had a sell-by date of 2017, though it had been washed out and then refilled from the big bottle - as you can tell, we rarely eat ketchup (I think I must have bought it for DGS3+4, who turned their noses up at it, as do my goddaughter and her sister)
- done WMx4 and TD as necessary
- helped DH to come to sort out yet another problem with the BT broadband which is still dire, despite the valiant attempts of the OpenReach engineer to improve it
- not had to walk Rosie yesterday when it was dry, but she is nudging me to take her today in the rain.
I still need to water houseplants. Thank you Jazee for reminding me. But Rosie must have her walk first. Now I've finished my after-lunch coffee, there must be no more excuses!
(((Hugs))) to all in need, and spoons and sticks for anyone who needs them.
See you later xxx

Done gym swim. Took cake for the 4 ladies wot swim to save me eating it all; they liked it (lemon and caraway seed). Enquired about renewing my gym membership and got very excited when the advisor told me I could join the Blue Light and get big discount..........got home and checked, and she was wrong; BL is not open to education employees (I hadn't thought they were).
Finished and emailed report.
Checked car insurance quote from the company I'm with against the Meerkat one. Hm will have to ring up tomorrow.
About to change as I'm going to a concert at the Barbican this eve and I need to allow 45mins to get to the person who is giving me a lift. Just about time for a bit of drum practice myself before I do that.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.6 -
FLING!!!!!!!!!!! 7 boxes of books GONE ... I did tell her there were a lot and she said 'oh it'll be fine' and turned up with a Noddy car!!! .. Now she is posting on the group asking for help unloading her car ... I put most of them in!!! she only did 2 of the 5.
Right.. 2 loads of washing to hang up and dinner and pack ups to do andmaybe run the DW as well.. then I quit for the day.. currently on13500 steps and I haven't even been anywhere other than a school run! I was at nearly 15000 yesterday.. my body thinks I have lost the plot.
Twinkles autism referral is going off the end of this week so that should be done around christmas time if we are lucky.. maybe early next year..
