First load of towels and tea towels have been given an extra spin and draped on radiators and airer. Second load swishing.
Gas and electric meters have been read. Electric reading noted, and gas reading submitted to BG.

Jinx @roundtuit - Electric reading noted and gas reading submitted to Isle of Man Energy (ManxGas) - pleasantly surprised, the insulation DH put into loft seems to be working - yay!!
Done:
HHI
HHAdmin
WUDUPA after lunch with DH - he works close enough that it is worthwhile popping home for lunch
To do:
Sit down and have a rest - have no breath again
Empty bins
Top up shop at Mr T has turned into a weekly, as just sent Mr TSL to local shops for bits&pieces when I was poorly last week. Really need a good rest, as I need a shower before I attempt Mr T - maybe I'll wait for DH to get home from work and get him to take me in car.
Anotherone joining the slinky club here - lost 2 lbs this week - pleased as I sat on my bahookie all last week with no exercise.
Blowin' a Hoolie here yesterday as well as today.
DH took me out to a local beach on Sat afternoon and there were 2 dolphins, Moonlight & Starlight, cavorting and leaping in the bay- lifted my mood no end.

Some admin done - council tax people have sent a letter saying they are cancelling my council tax "benefits" because I earn too much - I am confused! I get single person's discount but didn't think that was means tested
and, in any event, if minimum wage hours full time mean I earn too much we have got a real problem in society!
I have emailed and will see what they say. Food delivery due soon. Hugs to everyone else feeling overwhelmed - it is tough. I hope we get some sunshine soon xx
Round - I'm north east hunny xx8 -
asb - I'm so far to the east that I think you are north west of here even if you live in the North East. If that makes sense 😊
Just remembered that I put that second load on an extra spin ages ago. So I'll drape that on the airer then I'm going to have a shower and get my jamas on.

DGC collected from school and fed. During tea we discussed; the relative toxicity of gold and mercury; whether Christmas cake would survive a super nova; if plutonium is named after the planet, or the planet after the element; the saleability of the crown jewels if they were stolen; and off its ok to have just crank and no apple pie. Normal tea!!!!
Going to repaint the TD, paint was still tacky earlier, now. Then going to do some knitting. I'm making a jumper for DGS2, pattern i did for his mum at a similar age. I remembered, as i joined in the seventeenth ball of wool, why I've not knitted out on the last thirty years!.
Speak soon, hugs to all, mumtoomany.xxxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.7 -

I lurk on there to cheer you both on, but seeing a row of little devils next to my name would make me very sad! Says she, who ate 2 chocolate h0bn0bs at work, as she has zero will power and they jumped up calling my name, honest.
Thank you for the thread x I’ll do my best to make a effort. Not sure what I’ve done right now, quoting Kaz, so sorry if this all looks weird when I post it.
ASB - chin up, my lovely. Keep posting, even in the tough times. We’re all here for you xx5 -

Washing brought in…completely dry. Some non-iron stuff draped on maiden. DDs missing work shoes found…took me 1 minute (rolls eyes) they were in the first place I looked. 2 x cottage pies made, one eaten, one to freeze. Swimming stuff rinsed. 24 lengths today. DD let the rabbits out before she left for work, they’ve put themselves away presumably because the wind is bothering Miffy, who has bigger ears.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

A big well done to would-be slinkies.
Big hugs to strugglers and ASB you can only do what you can - and we can see that you are doing a fine job.
Thanks for advice on the parcel; the lady is getting her husband to help. The books themselves aren't worth anything as they are superseded by new versions, but I thought they might help someone as a training tool - so she is only paying postage.
Today I felt a lot better although I didn't zumba.
- lounge/dining room dusted, tidied and vacuumed.
- hall and stairs vacuumed.
- cake made.
- washing up done
- report nearly finished.
- spare bathroom and conservatory checked as suitable for visitor (who enjoyed the cake).
- 2nd glove finished and just need to sew them up then find a recipient.
- I'm about to do Jan's pay claim before bed.
And more texts from Mr N, who found some signal. This time next week he will be home - although he is having a great time so I mustn't wish it away for him.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -
Squeak made a raspberry cheesecake .. it is in the fridge if anyone wants some.I paid off a big account which was very rude and charging interest.I caught another 2 bills up to date.
Fiddled about with the budget.I have a lady picking up toddler books tomorrow so I need to shuffle the bookcase in the back room tomorrow.. I have no choice now and I am under pressure to get it done.. nothing like pressure to make me shift my behind!
TD fixed so that has been on and I have airers to clear which I will do tomorrow while shuffling the bookcase.. I need to move stuff about in there too.. I am mentally moving stuff about at the moment which isn't very productive but I have a sideboard and a bookcase, a cat tree, 2 airers, 6 dining chairs but no table (it is at my mothers) and 2 boxes of Vinted stuff in there and need to fit a triple wardrobe in.. something has to give!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)7
