I'm in...as and when I can be bothered I just chop away at the list and don't pressure myself too much
Working towards what I need to do before new kitchen is fitted too ATM so on this week's list before school holidays I have a shelving rack to sort out and move from one shed to the other as I need one empty for the delivery next month9 -
Banging headache has started - making my face and neck ache too. Parrots taken.
I'm dressed, put fresh towels in the bathroom, set first load of towels/ tea towels swishing, eaten breakfast, supped brew 2, written a shopping list, and done a laundry shuffle. Not in that order but I'm resisting the temptation to rejig.
I'm going to feed the birds, put out the recycling and go visit Mr Al.

Morning all
Thank you for thinking of me Round. I am suffering life overwhelm, DD is struggling at school, weather is HORRID, my field is mud, the general things that need doing round the house make me want to cry.... but I need to pull myself up by my bootstrap and get on.
I am currently typing this whilst on a conference call that I don't really need to be on - but it shows willing! DW needs to be emptied as does the TD. WM has just finished so that needs sorting too. Then I will light the fire and set up camp in the living room for the afternoon.
I had a bath last night so should really clean that... maybe I will, maybe I won't. I haven't read back so please accept my apologies if I have missed anything.
Take care all xx10 -
Mornin' all - well there is 55mins left - hehe
Dropped out of reading thread last week about Wed or so - have been a wee bit poorly with a chest infection - okay, so it knocked me flat on my arris including A&E appt because I couldn't get a breathHave just finished last dose of my anti-bs and steroids, hopefully won't need another prescription. Am going back to GP in 10 days for a good long chat, this is the 3rd time this has happened in 8 months, possibly adult-onset asthma - not a fan of this getting older lark.

Waving to asb 👋 Mahoosive hugs heading north west...catch 🤗
Groceries have been bought and put away. I've changed into my scruffs. WM is still swishing. Head is still banging- but muted a little by parrots.
Pizza flyer came through the letterbox yesterday. It is now in the recycling box, as is the pizza flyer that wouldn't stand up straight in the magazine rack. Most annoying seeing it flopping over. Yet I can totally live with rammel. I'm weird 😜
Resting with a cold drink and my book now.

@Asparklierblonde oh I am right there with you. I could have written your post word for word. Huge hugs. I've felt so overwhelmed for the last couple weeks that I've felt like crying as well. All we can do is just take things one thing at a time and move at the pace that suits us and keeps us healthy. It feels frustrating at times though. I have so many deadlines in the next couple weeks but I'm so exhausted and overwhelmed and don't know how I'll meet the deadlines. One step at a time though.

Narc. can you package up the paperwork, measure the size of it, and weight, I will let you know what is best, it may be Post Office as you can send it tracked, depending on how much it is all worth. What ever you / how ever you send it, get the lady to pay you BEFORE you send it anywhere, basc is best.Thank you for the lists xxRound well done on the weight loss, -1lb for me this week. Another one feeling the overwhelm here. I was doing great before Christmas - had a really nice routine. Washing in a basket before bed, sorted it out in the morning whilst LO played in our bedroom. Tidied up the last bits of the kitchen and did the dishwasher whilst he was eating breakfast, then played for a bit before going out to a group. Bathrooms and office cleaned weekly, hoovered twice a week when OH took LO out for a run. Bulk of the kitchen done with OH after LO in bed which took 20 minutes max each night. Not flylady routine but it was working really well.
Not sure what's happened since the new year. I've let my foot go completely off the accelerator and if I'm honest am falling into a bit of a slob routine. Potentially because LO is turning 1 at the end of the month, starting nursery soon and I'm due back at work in the late Spring to a new job that I don't really want to do.
We're going away for a long weekend this weekend and I'm desperate to have a somewhat tidy house (heaven forbid the cat sitter sees washing up on the side!) for when we go.
I tidied the office at the weekend but didn't do the floor. So, as LO is napping atm, I will go grab the broom and sweep the floor. Bathroom will have to wait until after he wakes up and my OH gets home as the fan noise wakes him up and it's too dark and gloomy here today to do with without.£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January9 -
Hello again.
Dailies are done, I've checked admin/ banking too, emptied bins and recycling. DGD2 and I have walked Poppet and posted the letter. It is very windy here as well so we weren't out long, just 20 minutes. DGD2 is currently having a nap. I'm going to prep her lunch then later we're going to toddler group which is mainly full of grandparents with the children these days.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
afternoon all. Here again this week. So far have sorted three DGC and packed them of to school. Done DW. Painter the top of the TD. It's over 20 years old and more rust than metal now. Looks better but will need a second coat. Cleaned all three toilets, put descaler in one, don't know why it always furs up, but the others don't. Got sausages out for tea. Still need to get DGC from school and feed them. Of to catch up. Hugs, mumtoomany.xxxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.8
