NatWest Premier Account

Hi,
Does anyone have a NatWest Premier Account? I have tried numerous times to find clarity on the income required for the account. It says a sole income of £100k - but not if this is gross or net. If It’s net then you need £8,334 a month paid in. If Gross, that payment is a lot less depending on various deductions that could include pension.
Also, if anyone has this account, do you know how to verify? Payslip or on payments in etc?
Many Thanks

Simple answer would be to ask them? - I just had a look at the account and livechat option was available0

Eligibility is based on gross income, so having previous regular BACS payments into an existing NW account which you then upgrade is probably the most hassle-free way.
If you are an existing customer and believe you qualify you can apply for an upgrade via an online form. If the Natwest algo also agrees with you then the account and app icon will automatically change in about 3 days or so.0 -

Many ThanksIt's gross. You might be accepted if you're just a bit below that too, if it's clear you're heading in that direction anyway. So far as I know it's not even a requirement to have the salary paid in to the account with Natwest. They'll make an appointment with you to check payslips

Is that last bit a new thing? They certainly never checked anything with me when I 'upgraded' although that was a fair while ago.... given the amount that Mrs Arty and I were both salsaccing into our pensions at the time, I suspect what we were paying in (net) was pretty borderline, but it all went through without any issues.WillPS said:amillionlittlepieces said:Hi,

I was upgraded by them about a year ago, despite telling them my salary (which was and is not £100k) and not having any meeting with payslips etc. Possible that the frequent monies going in and out of the account to satisfy regular savers and monthly payment criteria made them think I was earning more.0

There is nothing in their terms about it and without any qualifiers it would be the plain English meaning which I would say it gross.
Previously had their premier account, before our falling out, and they made no checks on payslips etc. Have an equivalent account elsewhere now and similarly no checks have ever been done but naturally they see the totals that flow through the account each month.0 -
I requested to upgrade my Reward acc to a Premier Reward and it was rejected after a few days (via email).
I salary sacrifice heavily so knew it could be the reason and it was confirmed when I called to query it.
They didn't care that my gross salary was eligible, only that the net salary that lands in the account made it look like I earn much less.0 -
So did they still not upgrade you even after you called to explain that?SamDude said:I requested to upgrade my Reward acc to a Premier Reward and it was rejected after a few days (via email).

Nope. The person I spoke to understood what salary sacrifice was and accepted that I met the salary eligibility. He said that I shouldn't give it up to show my true income for the sake of getting a Premier account(!)Futuristic said:

Complain. This isn't the qualifying criteria.SamDude said:
