I used to have unlimited anytime calls included in my package but switched to new provider. I don't make many landline calls but would like the option in case I need to. I don't have unlimited mins on mobile so want to save them more for when I need them. I am with shell energy for landline and BB. Thanks.

MiL has ditched the landline when she realised just how expensive it was and now just uses her mobile. The mobile cost less than £100 and her Lebara deal at £7 a month gives her unlimited calls and texts.
I don’t think you will get a landline deal better than that.2 -
I am with Giffgaff mobile and I like it so don't want to switch but I buy the goody bags when I need them. I don't make many calls or texts tbh use mosty WiFi. But my mum likes her landline and I keep mine for that reason. She has a call package with her LL and she usually calls me. I just wondered if there was a cheap way to call her if needed. I think I used 18185 back in old days not sure if that's an option or other similar companies.

If it's not a PAYG mobile contract then it may be easier to swap providers. Most contracts have U/L minutes and texts nowadays. I pay just £5 a month for my O2 sim for that plus whatever my data limit is.paul2louise said:I used to have unlimited anytime calls included in my package but switched to new provider. If you've got BB and are talking with the same people regularly then you can use an IP-based service. If your mobile phone contact can use WiFi for calls then they don't go against your minutes allowance.I ditched my landline a while ago; I sometimes felt like I was running it just for the pleasure of cold-callers.0
