It's a Xiamoi bug not Lloyds group, Android 14 works fine with Lloyds and Halifax apps on Pixel 6 Pro - plus as above Pixel 8 plus Galaxy S22, A52, and A71
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

I have a Xiaomi 'Redmi Note 12 Pro 5g' - it's running android 13 (updated in Aug 2023 I think, that's the date next to 'android security update' anyway)
I have the Halifax banking app which updated on 2nd Jan 2024 & is working.
Will look out for and delay Android 14...0 -

Lloyds adds checks to their app to prevent it working on certain phones (rooted/jailbroken etc) and they won't have whitelisted the new Xiaomi HyperOS yet.
Similar issues with their apps not working after a Xiaomi update have occurred before2 -
Just to flag that this is still an issue. My wife's Xiaomi 12 lite phone has just updated and now Halifax/lloyds apps are out for the count.

Interesting reading the above about what seems to have been a recent problem for some.
I've had this problem on my Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite running Android 10 since late December when the Lloyds app updated. I managed to keep going on an older app version which kept warning me to update, but then it would no longer let me run it. Two or three updates in January still have this problem. The phone isn't rooted - I could root it and then hide root to get the app working, but that defeats the principle of not rooting the phone to keep it secure! Frustrating as all other banking apps I use (Natwest, Nationwide, Virgin, Santander and Tesco) all work absolutely fine.0 -
There’s a message on Lloyds and Halifax apps when logged in at the moment (on iPad) that they are working on the app(s)
Doesn’t say what they are doing I can only hope it includes or is to help the xiaomi app dysfunction which is still broken. ar time of writing this.1 -

It will need Lloyds to issue an updated version of the app to fix this issue2
