Website description vs Instruction Manual

Absolutely no chance of claiming against the shed manufacturer, and I expect the installer would ask for (and expect) payment for swapping the panels around, although worth asking in case they feel they could have done more.
It seems to me the main cause of the issue here was lack of communication from the OP to the installer.0 -

If the person installing it needed to follow the instruction to the letter it does not sound like it was somebody used to erecting sheds.0 -
The description does seem to suggest that the door can be fitted either side - although the instructions don’t appear to be written in a way that suggests that’s possible.
unless the OP specifically mentioned to the installer that this was a “feature” they specifically desired, then I can see why it’s been constructed in the way it has.
however - if it’s obvious that the doorway is obstructed then I would also expect the installer to have at least questioned this with the OP.
OP - have you spoken to the installer at all about the situation?0 -
I'm guessing this is a Waltons modular shed.
The key selling point is the interchangable panels. I think it's clear in the website..
"Choose a modular shed from Waltons for a building that's built around you. With the option to place the doors and windows in any position, you can ensure your new garden building is working with your needs in mind."
https://www.waltons.co.uk/collections/modular-sheds?usf_sort=bestselling
It's also clear in the instructions.. your's should say something like this..
**Please note: The side panels are all interchangeable and can be positioned in a variety of con gurations. Decide which works best before assembly. See Page 2 for suggested options.**

I can’t see why you would have any recourse with the supplier.By your own admission, you have spent over 1k on a shed based on a photo alone. You admit you didn’t read the description. If you had, you would see the web page states that images are for illustrative purposes only. You’ve then instructed an “installer” and only sent them a photo prior to the job. There has been no discussion regarding where you want the door to be.I’m sorry, but this is between you and the “installer”. I use that term loosely as it seems strange for someone who knows what they’re doing to be following instructions so closely.0
