Small Claims Case Against Specsavers

If you have an issue with Sainsbury’s and you emailed the CEO someone would reach out to you who would be a lot more helpful than Specsavers management!
To address the “if” we go to court point - unless I withdraw my case we are going. If I withdraw it will depend on if I can get any expert evidence that isn’t going to cost more than the glasses (regardless of if I am able to claim it back should I win).0 -
Well... unless you have any outstanding questions, I'll wish you good luck and I hope you update us with the outcome either way

I don't think anyone is criticising you for attempting to escalate your issue as far as you can within what is ultimately a pretty small organisation (i.e. the franchise), but the facts remain that nobody has any right to demand answers from senior management, and the latter have no obligations to engage with unhappy customers, so it's a fair point to make in the context of complaining to the company, but less so in any formal legal action.Tr33house said:If you have an issue with Sainsbury’s and you emailed the CEO someone would reach out to you who would be a lot more helpful than Specsavers management!0 -
Given that you have had the glasses for 3 years and the lifespan of a pair of glasses is about 3 years and it is clear the lens is badly scratched, do you really think a reputable qualified optometrist/optician is going to put their name to a report which says the lenses were inherently faulty? Even if by some quirk of fate you find such a person, remember any award a court makes will take into account the age/usage of the product. So you are probably looking at zero.Tr33house said:

The time to have done something about this was when you first noticed the problemIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales3 -
Ok, you asked for advice and you've been given it, and it's unanimous. You've chosen to ignore it or disagree with it, and stated that you intend to continue and go to Court if necessary.Well, good luck with that. It's time for people to walk away from this now, as you can't discuss something with a person who has their head in the sand and won't listen.Wish you well, but it's wasting people's time giving any more advice on this.10
