Gas supplier with decent customer service?

Hi, I've just moved home and need to sign up with a gas supplier. Previous owner was with British Gas (on smart meter) and having spoken with BG (or tried to) Im very unimpressed. My experience is that every service supplier is ok until something out of the ordinary goes wrong. From there, it's pot luck depending on the individual(s) you deal with.
