    Brilliant!  You did it!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • I have one question: Does POPLA forwards the evidence to the operator, which we, appellant sends to POPLA? Also, does the operator have to pay any fees to defend the PCN in POPLA?

Last year PPCs decided not to contest 19,906 of appeals that went to POPLA. Odd when PPC's internal appeal dept had just rejected the appeals claiming the pcn was correctly issued.

Interesting and amusing reading POPLA's lead adjudicator explanations to justify these year on year high numbers...might have known the "gesture of goodwill" would be in there !!

Exactly, i was thinking the same thing. They reject on the same evidence provided & then withdrawn. There should be provision to claim compensation for wasting time & providing stressful time, and of course, for withdrawing the pcn after rejecting. I was looking for claiming compensation, pls let me know, if there is any scope for this.

PPC unlikely to compensate you they'll be thinking you should be grateful your pcn was cancelled. You could try the government!!! After 5 yrs they still haven't managed to stop PPCs sharp practices.

We're all trying to help gov by suggesting solutions to PPCs problems. I know you weren't affected by the practice below but you might be next time so I ask you for your support.

So many people don't receive 1st and/or 2nd pcn but the £170 payment due letter often manages to drop through letter boxes. PPCs always claim discounted rate/full rate pcns/court claim letters were sent as dated though they offer no evidence to prove this.

Since they CHOOSE NOT to provide evidence of their posting we must continue to press gov to ensure they do and see it included in the new Parking CoP. Please sign/share @jmccabe petition closes 22nd june 2024.
