    Also got an automated call:

Just called Argos to check what exactly was being delivered on Monday as the amount they debited out of my account did not coincide with the original total amount of my order.

 No Roboreptiles on my order....

But,, I also ordered the baskets which they had on offer.
They were half price at £7.50 buy one get one free, but they had a glitch and if you entered quantity 3 the orice went down to £4.99 and if you entered quantity 6 the price went to £9.99

    I ordered 6 lots at £9.99,

The wowan I spoke to as CS kept going on about how the price for the baskets was incorrect and asked why there were 6 lots. I told her I orderd 6 lots because I wanted 6 lots. she said that the price was wrong and should have been £45.00.

She said, im checking the website now and I can see they should come to £45.00

I told her that when I ordered the items and entered 6 lots, thats the price that came up, and as they have already debited my account then there is nothing she can do, it wasnt my mistake it was thiers.

She said that once the order arrives she will have to put it to the finance department and they will then have to debit the balance...

    IS THAT RIGHT???

    Can they do that???

They better not!!!! It was their mistake, they can't just take more money from your card, can they?? I am not paying £45. Does that mean we get BOGOF then? Oh well, we will see on Monday, what a carry on....

Had my automated phone call just before I went off to the dentists. Hadn't told OH just in case they didn't arrive..........lol
No mention of price, but said they'll arrive between 7am and 2pm Monday.
How can I check my credit card to see about the price ?I don't do on-line banking either so don't know where to start with that.
Maybe I''ll just wait and see...............
    No e mail though.

I have an automated message informing me of delivery on Monday too. I ordered 10 sets and my account has been charged £27.41. That makes each basket 91p. A bargain. Many thanks OP. x

Well I reserved for instore collection but couldn't make it in - so have tried for 3 days running to order stuff for home delivery and for some reason it just will NOT work! Says I don't have cookies enabled (trust me the cookies are just fine!) and it's driving me nuts!
Really peeved with Argos online shopping now grrrr

  • Tried to pick mine up today in 2 stores where I had reserved 3 sets and no luck in both. I brought the confirmation I printed off and they won't honour it.
    Really disappointed. :(

I'd have thought if you had your confirmation all printed merrymary they'd have had to honour it surely, or are Argos a law unto themselves. I dont understand these things really but I'd have thought if they priced them wrong and they were bought/reserved by you in good faith at the price shown they would have to let you have them. Maybe someone around knows the trading laws about things like this.

  • That's what I thought too. That confirmation should have had some sort of validity. They were going to charge £22.47 for 3 sets. Oh well, maybe i'll have more luck next time.
Hope you get yours on Monday.

That would have been wrong as well because the offer was £7.49 for set and buy one get one free so for your £22.47 you should have got 6 sets = 18 baskets. (see original poster)It looks they don't know anything at all. It is really stupid. Just checked on website and is not even BOGOF now.
  • They may have fixed the error today. Noone seemed to have collected instore.
Got my fingers for those who ordered online.
