  • I reserved something from Argos on-line (not the baskets) and today travelled 15 miles to pick it up. I was rather miffed to be told it wasn't in stock, despite saying otherwise on-line and told to try again this afternoon. Do they think I have petrol coming out of my ears??!!

To be honest, I'm very disappointed with my Christmas on-line shopping this year.

i`d ask the store if they are going refund your travel costs as its there fault i know from past experance they do this as the samething happened to me a few weeks ago and they said it would be 7p a mile for the rond trip that worked out at £6.42 they said i could have that in cash or i could have a £10 voucher its always worth asking
  • Haven't read the finished basket thread but I'm sure I'm going to enjoy doing it. New to this MSEing and hoping to get lots of inspiration from all you lovely people in here.
I've reserved 3 sets on 2 stores nearby. Still showing in stock in one of the shops after I ordered while out of stock on the other one. Going to pick them up tomorrow. Hope I get lucky. Thanks in advance.
  • I couldn't get these baskets but went into our new Dunelm Mill today and they had some dark wicker baskets - either round lined ones (about 4 inches deep, and 8-10 inches diameter?) or some rectangular ones with lids - both types really nice, for £1.27 each in their sale! Got 6 which cost £7.62, so worked out much the same price as the Argos baskets.

So might be worth a look if anyone has a Dunelm near them.

Still no confirmation e mail from argos so I'm not holding out too much hope on getting these.
Like the sound of the ones at Dunelm Mills.............nearest one to us is 20 miles away ................I don't drive and OH hates shopping, particularly that sort. He's taking me to the dentist this morning for emergency appt. but its in the opposite direction to Dunelm.
I have got some round hat boxes I picked up from charity shops last year.......about £1 each so might use them for some 'hampers'........think there's 5 altogether...........crikey I must have had a weakness for them at the time..................lol

My £14.93 (presumably for 18 baskets + delivery) is showing on my online banking today. Dare I get excited? Still no actual email from Argos though and so no actual order confirmation, which I don't care about as long as I get them..

Oooohhhh! I have just had an automated phonecall from Argos advising that my delivery will be with me on Mon between 7am and 2pm!!! Will just have to wait and see what I get. How very exciting! (Still no email but who cares?)
