Recommendations for LPG Supplier

I’ve been with Avanti gas for many years (Shell before that) and always been able to talk to them and manage to get a good PPL when renewing my contract,  2 years on and I’m now out of contact, they have now said it’s 75 ppl, if I renew the contract it will be 65 ppl for 6 months and after that the price will be adjusted to the market value (whatever that could be?), they would not reduce the ppl despite my trying to push for it, just not what I’ve been used to, they have really gone down in my estimation..

What is the current ppl rate, any recommendations who to contact and compare …. Any companies to avoid.   

(Ps..What is the long-term expectations for LPG for home heating, did I read that it could be phased out at some point? )

LPG like petrol, heating oil, etc are all petro-chemicals. As such the market price for petrol- chemicals is very volatile, the Ukraine war and the Gaza conflict all destabilise the market price and the price goes up. Your supplier is trying to help you by giving a fixed price for a period, but after that the volitity in the "market" is too risky for them to go further. Compare this with the electricity and gas "markets" they have all been effected the same way as your LPG. The only thing you could do is "shop around".
