RWG have been offering a 12 month pay upfront bundle of 10GB monthly  data and unlimited calls/texts for a one-off £60 payment for a while now.

Their current January offer of doubling PAYG top ups states :

Double top-up January* is back!  All online credit top-ups applied during January will be doubled  Maximum of £20 single top-up and maximum £60 top-up in month. Doesn't apply to e-voucher or phone-top-ups.  * Offer applies from 5th January to 31st January 2024. Customers will be able to purchase bundles with their credit balance except those listed in our Buy&Forget range within our web shop. T&Cs

So all you have to do is get a new SIM card for £1 with £1 credit on, buy £30 worth of top ups (will need to be done in 2 stages due to the £20 individual top up limit) and then you will have a credit balance of £61. Use this to buy the £60 bundle (should be as simple as texting ukrwg1210 to 669) and you're in business. Plenty of other bundles for lower/higher usage available too.

RWG works for me and is saving me a fortune (I maxed out my balance the last time they offered double top ups) but check other threads for notes about coverage relating to band 20.

Interesting they've included the existing 12 month deals in their new Buy&Forget range. I hadn't noticed that. Well texting ukrwg1210 to 669 worked for me. Perhaps it shouldn't have done.

Can you not buy the bundle from your (doubled) account credit?
  • I'd swap a couple of numbers to RWG today if they'd just GET WIFI CALLING SORTED!

That's exactly what I did. Just text ukrwg1210 to 669 and you're in business.

Did they actually deduct the credit after you texted the code?
Iv been trying since september to get them to take £25 off me for a bundle i bought in june and september.
Told them in sep about it,and they replied, saying thanks for telling us.
Its january now,and still not deducted it.
I want RWG to last, thats why i want to pay them.

This is exactly the problem I had with them, I got the impression it was all a bit flakey and I felt I had no control of anything - and I wasn't sure they had any either!

I don't think I will ever understand how they work. It seems to be different depending on whether you call them, use their website, or text 669 (which seems to bypass rwg entirely and go straight to nowmobile).

Yes you do actually text now mobile for the bundle, and you have to ask for a now mobile voucher if you want to top up,so now are in control of bundles and credit.
Perhaps i should e mail now mobile to see what they say.

Rwg offers are quite different to nowmobile's pricing structure. It would be mildly interesting to try to text an rwg bundle code on a nowmobile supplied sim (one which rwg haven't stuck a sticky label over the top of).
