I was thinking it was me.
I've never had such a confusing mess opening any other account. Very stressful too.
On another note. When I withdrew more money to my beneficiary account again today after it was all sorted out I noticed both the dates were showing as Friday 5th January and not Saturday 6th January!!!

Metro Bank's technical quirks can be truly archaic, more so than the much older banks.
- Faster payments are processed 24/7, but on non-workings days, transaction dates are backdated to the previous working day.
- Interest is only paid on working days, and backdated to the previous working day. Most recently, interest paid on 02 Jan 2024, covering all 31 days of December, has a transaction date of 29 Dec 2023.
- The actual transaction date for transactions processed on non-working days is not included in payment descriptions/details/memos.
- Interest is still calculated correctly according to the actual closing account balance each day, but none of Metro Bank's standard facilities (transaction histories and digital/paper statements) can provide an accurate chronology of transaction history.
- On statements, transactions to external payees do not show the correct payment references (only 'NA' is shown). Online/app transaction histories show the correct payment references.

It's been over an hour now with the second transfer and it's still not showing???0 -

This bank is a joke. I transferred money in and today tried to move it out for the first time. The App just comes up saying "Hmm somethings gone wrong"/ Then you try to log into the website and won't work and locks you out. Now wasting my life with a useful automated phone system that won't put you through to a human. Moving all my money out as soon as I can get my hands on it.0
