Is Vehicle Control Solutions affiliated with Excel? Or is that Vehicle Control Services?
If they are affiliated, i had the same "we don't accept service of documents by email" rubbish. I sent my correspondance to their appropriate email address anyway and received an auto-reply. Document served.
If service via email is acceptable by the court, it should be good enough for them.1 -
It's a cheap tactic designed to limit the Defendants ability to serve documents.
The Defendant should be able to state they only accept service of documents via carrier pigeon.1 -

Okay. I feel like they're doing things in the wrong order they've sent me today a letter about bailiffs. I'm ignoring it ofc as I know it's another scaremonger letter but you'd think they'd send that before the LBC? OR is this their last ditch effort to get money out of me as they know they don't have a case? Will keep you updated0
-
How long does it usually take them to send a court letter? I've had the LBC which told me if I hadn't paid by 10/04/2024 they would start legal proceedings. After responding to then with email from newbies thread I was then sent a 'baliff' letter when i posted last. I ignored it. Nothing since. I don't know how these companies can avoid harassment charges. I've had numerous letters, emails basically threatening me to 'pay up today or face the consequences'. I'm so grateful for everyone on this forum but just feel really awful for the older people who maybe don't have access to the Internet and get stressed out by all these awful scaremongering letters! It's awful!1

Many/most LBCs are just part of a letter chain and are not followed by court claims.
The fact your case has had a debt crawler letter arrive now, suggests that the strategy was not to proceed to court despite the LBC saying they would. Not saying they won't try a different strategy next. Forget it and get on with your life.Don't tell us about debt letters.
Do tell them if you move house, of course.
Do come back if you get a claim.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Another Letter of Claim from DCB Legal. I have sent them the email from the newbies thread. However, I realised in that email it says about seeking debt advice. Is this something I should actually be doing? Or is this just to delay them 30 days?0
