Vanguard not collecting fees

Has anyone faced issues with Vanguard not collecting account fees via direct debit? I noticed a few months ago that I had a fair few fees stuck on pending within the account that were meant to be collected via direct debit, but they hadn't been. The bank account is in good standing, I haven't cancelled the direct debit and there's cash available in the account.

I messaged their support team, and ~3 months down the line, I'm no further to getting this resolved it seems.

I was wondering if I could top up cash into the account and pay the fees from there, but it doesn't seem to be letting me deposit cash...

I had this Direct Debit issue for many quarters, and eventually gave up on the vague responses from customer service and moved to iWeb.

I've never bothered setting up a direct debit. I just leave a bit of  cash in my GIA and the fees always come out of that over my ISA or SIPP

    Yup, I do the same.

Did you ever get a final response, or were there any issues withdrawing cash etc with outstanding fees?

Yes, it was finally resolved (after over a year!) and one Direct Debit was eventually correctly notified and taken.  They did acknowledge the issue - I was given a token sum as compensation for the trouble.  In the end it was just too much hassle.

I see, thanks. It's nice to hear that I'm not the only one facing this issue. Just trying to get it resolved so my account is in good standing!
