Buying a little piece of Middle England; Manifesting my way to mortgage free.

Oh I forgot pic. Here it is. The trim /splashback pieces of wood still need to go on hence why they're not fixed and wallpaper looks missing from the bottom. I love it. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but I'm a mostly very colourful person 😁 and it suits me (kitchen and wallpaper!) cupboards look fab if you can see that one bit of white on the filler piece at the bottom corner it's because it needs replacing we had to recess the cupboard further back and then the filler piece no longer filled it properly 🤪. We have plenty of that left though. (There are more cupboards to the left and right of this. It's no wonder we're tired this has been a hard hard DIY project and if I'd had the money I would have paid someone to do it.) I think for a budget kitchen this is fab though. All in it cost us less than £6k. (Think It was around £5.4k actually)....MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. That kitchen is gorgeous. Absolutely does not look a 'budget kitchen' but really high end. Great job.
Also admit to a touch of admiration at the pebble tables - I adore them - my rental had a set. I would have offered to buy them but I had no idea what would happen in my life (there was so much gorgeous ercol in that place that when I moved out I suggested my landlady sell it - she had just relocated it from her grandmothers who had passed away to the unit I was renting as I had no furniture at the time. She didn't realise how sought after it was so I made sure to tell her to be certain she was happy with me using it. Bless her, she just wanted me to have somewhere nice to live in and she thought I might like it!).Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!1 -

wow thats beautiful, I'm also a colour lover so loving that wallpaper and cabinets
Well done. The one thing about putting in the effort vs paying someone- you really appreciate it when its done. All your own hard work! Hard at the time but well worth it later

Aw thanks all 🥰🙏🏻
DD and DP went swimming and I have had a quick clean round. Guess what?
The living room kitchen is no longer! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Yay! The garage kitchen is still a work in progress 🤣. DS kitchen is also nearly empty and the old kitchen only has two cupboards left to empty too 😁👏🏻👏🏻.
I stopped for today about an hour and half ago and have sat enjoying a cuppa looking at the new kitchen in peace.
I've got a few things to do tomorrow so was trying to get the kitchen to a good place to stop today so we can start using the new one and migrate from the old one. I need to find a home for the air fryer. I'm debating putting it in a cupboard and getting it out as and when we want it.. it's so big I don't want it on my nice new side 🙈🤣. Not sure how practical that will be.
Had another nsd they are easy to rack up when consumed with work at home.
Right off to read for a bit and get ready for tomorrow.MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06.
