I paid over my first £20 OP this morning and went off in search for some felt tips to colour another square in
and as I was pulling some out looking for a purple I found a load of credit cards under them all, I went through them wondering if my t3sco clubcard had found it's way in there as I have lost it, found lots of other store cards but not that...and also found a love 2 shop card. Wondered if there was anything on it, surely I wouldn't have put a card in there with money on? Spent 15 minutes faffing about trying to log onto my L2S account, and lo and behold there was £20 on the card that was going to expire in a few months!! It has been in there since we moved here *oops* I have exchanged it for a Harvester voucher to use out and about, in an attempt to do some more fun stuff this coming month after two very boring reset months of having done nowt (but still within budget). So £20 sent to the MOP and £20 found again....
what were the odds of that eh!
The Am@zon vouchers are all showing on my account too - I will use those to buy my sister's birthday present which falls just before next payday

banana cake looks delicious, about time i made one here, havent been baking for a long time!I am still to get a colour in picture on my fridge for the mortage over payments. I had another look online and a good think about how to 'price' the bricks. But didnt come to any particular conclusion. I might do a bigger brick for £240 which is the regualar overpayment and then do another set of smaller bricks for extra payments of £20 or £30. But I would like the whole mortgage on 1 sheet and i dont think that possible as there is too much left to pay!!!♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

if that all makes sense. It's why I did three different amounts per square depending on which building I am colouring in. I couldn't work out how to do it all in one lol although I am sure there is a way.

Morning all, busy weekend and kind of glad it is Monday although I have work later. We've had sleepovers, dropping DD off to a party, shopping, bootfairs, takeaways and a sudden urge to rearrange the front room
as you do lol
Saturday we dropped DD off to her party and whilst in the town we dropped her at I popped to the shoe shop, I have a pair of boots that I wear for work and they have holes in the bottom, I may or may not have moaned about them on here before- especially in wet weatherSo they went in the bin on Friday after work in a strop, so I had to replace them asap. I decided on a pair of trainers instead. I don't have any trainers either. I had four pairs, I have worn through all of them in my job with the amount of steps I do (none were particularly expensive but still...
) So I bought another pair of Skechers that I liked with arch support. I spent nearly ALL the clothing budget on them which I am not too happy about, but I couldn't find them cheaper online (I looked whilst in the shop). So that was a very spendy afternoon. We got a takeaway for DP & I out of the take out budget, I kept mine cheap, DP not so much. Cost just over £20 for the two of us. We have just under £30 for my birthday tomorrow. We took the £50 cash out and put it in an envelope marked take outs. DS is not coming back from ExH until the day after my birthday. A point scoring game by ExH. I decided not to bite to it but it has upset me, quite right too I don't think I do anything to deserve the nasty point scoring competition games he plays years after we've broken up and divorced. So, yeh I just said okay. I am sad and have been quite tearful and angry but not at ExH. He will know he's won then and carry on. It's best to just not react....one up side is the take out tomorrow will be cheaper as DS eats so much when we order.
We had an early night Saturday as we were both so tired from a busy week, it meant we were up before the sun on Sunday! So we decided to go to our first boot fair of the year. £2 to get in, £7 on knick-knacks for DP hobby (out of his money), £8 on earthenware pie dishes (OMG I was SO excited about these, they complete a set my mother gave me years ago but I accidentally broke some along the way) and we bought a cute little wooden elephant too.....which....then caused me to need to find a home for it, which meant me needing (not needing actually but feeling the need might be a better description) to empty all our bookshelves out -14 of themonto the floor - to rearrange to find a home for little Nellie ahahaha. DD thinks I am mad, I said it's just sensible to find it a home or it will move from place to place haha. I spent HOURS doing that. S'burys didn't turn up till really late in the saver slot either, gone 5pm so we had leftovers and salad for dinner.
P.S my shelves look fab now, I colour coded all the books again (I always do this but they had been messed up over time) and I have lots of our collected knick-knacks displayed amongst them.
Overall it was a pretty spendy weekend, I wrote everything down in my budget planner before I forgot what we bought and wrote which budget each purchase was to come from, I will go over it again today and make sure nothing was forgotten. I have already spent around £160 on food this week/ month toooops. Lots of dried stuff though and freezer is full again, so hopefully it's okay and I can still bring it in on budget. Am sure I did the same last month come to think of it.
DP is still waiting to hear about job. This is the worst part eh, the not knowing.
I had a friend pop over on Saturday too, I might be seeing her again tomorrow for my actual birthday but not sure yet, she likes to cancel a lot. I had to cut it short on Saturday as she was late and DD needed dropping at her friend's house.
Today WILL be a NSD I am determined to have a few this week. I did pretty well last month and did more than I had targetted for which I think was 15, so maybe I should aim for more this month. Careful planning and it is easily do-able.
@killerpeaty you aren't the only one to be exclaiming about the £25, first DP did and then mehence why I thought he should keep some extra budget back for expenses. He is supposed to have money there to lunch with potential clients if needed but we've never had it in the budget. He obviously claims it all back, but if he does it the first day after payday then he has a whole month to wait for the money back.
Okay enough rambling from me, I am off. I will update signature now with this month's spends on food already! Thanks for popping by all

Thanks @beanielou
Morning all,
yesterday didn't end up being a NSD DP needed coffee and I had forgotten it in the shop oops. I will tally up all we have spent on food next time I'm with my budget planner in hand and add to the signature.
Today I've turned down an extra hour at work as I am off out for birthday celebrations with friend from the weekend, she didn't cancel after all and has cleared her busy diary for me! We're meeting half way, so at a pub around 20 minutes from me. They have food on offer as I checked the menu. I will keep it cheap though as we have more food planned for take out later. Tomorrow i will need to get to the batch cooking as my fridge is overflowing with ingredients for the meals for the month. But today, it's cake & tea & Indian take away with a G&T and work in between (I intend on doing as little as possible though)Definitely not a NSD but I am trying to budget as best as possible. DD wants a pizza rather than an Indian so I think we will go over budget we will borrow from another budget though, probably food, maybe pocket money (because we already stole some for the weekend take away) and lunchtime treats I will just take out of my pocket money I think so all budgeted for
Not very money saving at all today but never mindback to it tomorrow...
