@EssexHebridean - Sourdough loaves can be made with various flours/flour ratios. I like to use half & half wholemeal & white in mine, though as my culture jar is fed with white flour, that will increase the overall ratio.

Yes - it was more whether the slightly different nature of a sourdough loaf itself might have a difference to the way it behaves in terms of blood sugar, certainly the percentage of white -v- wholemeal, rye or whatever flour would make a difference though. Sourdough certainly behaves differently in the gut if my experience is anything to go by - that in itself is anecdotal although the gut health benefits themselves are known of course. 😁 (and of course it tastes flipping LOVELY!)

haha I think your Mr & mine have broadly similar views of veggie food...although mine very much eats what he's given which means we frequently have veggie - or at least almost veggie - several times a week!

Bananas are ace - full of good stuff and r-e-a-l-l-y slow release energy too - a banana is a hypoglycaemic's best pal! (also beloved of athletes pre event as easy to digest - not sure that will come in particular useful to either of us but there you go!) I also love a banana but am very fussy about their ripeness - too ripe and they make me go ugh.

Glad the job is going well - but of course you're tired, the mental stress of a new job is, well, mental! Cut yourself some slack and have a lazy weekend. (Get someone to explain "lazy" to you - I know you don't do that well!) Free food though - mmmmm!
